Jack woke up to a pounding headache coinciding with random shivers. Emilia was on top of him, woken up by his slight movements. [Emilia: My head hurts] [Jack: It should] he said looking over at the bottle of wine with the fancy label that was empty and another empty bottle next to it. Jack started to push Emilia's thigh off of him. [Jack: Come on we need to get up] [Emilia: Mhhm hmm] she shook her head no and put her knee down in defiance cementing her thighs place. Impulsively Jack just accepted this. He accepted the laziness of not wanting to get up and stayed semi-sleep for a while. Hunger started to grab his stomach. This wasn't new to Jack. Without any other intervention, this was almost always how he got up. Jack would just lay down till hunger was too much to bear. [Jack: You hungry?] [Emilia: Yes!] she sprung up from the couch. This new lack of warmth made the shivers worse. He got up and grabbed his pipe as he would his meds in the morning. After a few puffs while outside the shivers left. He met Emilia back at the table she had prepared a bowl for him as she ate from hers. [Jack: We need some coffee] Jack found coffee beans and a maker. It was really just a tea kettle with a filter at the top. He needed hot water. It's almost as if Emilia read his mind; she created an ice Crystal then crushed it, letting it fall in the kettle. Jack put it over the fire.

He had everything he needed to function now caffeine, another stimulant and..... [Emilia: Eat!] and he needed food. Jack finished his cup and bowl. [Jack: Let's try to go two for two] [Emilia: two for two?] [Jack: you're going to take the second trial and beat it and we are going to celebrate like yesterday] [Emilia: I like that plan. But you need to help me with something] [Jack: What?] [Emilia: The temple smells terrible Subaru's body needs to be buried] [Jack: Let's do it then] Emilia changed clothes Jack put a cloak on. They walked to the temple. They arrived Emilia went inside and pushed out Subarus's body. Subaru was in an active state of decay. His skin was black he looked like a skeleton, everything had been liquified. Jack dragged the body, Emilia dispatched a few rabbits. They picked a spot near the house to dig a grave. [Jack: Can you make the ground warmer so it's not so hard that'll break the shovel] Emilia did just that. The ground turned to mud and was so easy to dig through. Jack placed the body and buried it. Then he gave the site a cross made of sticks scratching "Subaru" in it with a small kitchen knife. Jack turned around and he didn't notice Emilia was crying because he was so focused on the grave. But after turning around he did, she was balling.
