[Jack: I promised Emilia I wouldn't nearly die. So I have to do this carefully] Jack first decided to make some sort of armor. He gathered three cloaks from the house and some rope from a neighboring house. Jack found an ax in the shed and used it to cut a log in half then cut slices of wood off the log. He made some of the slices bigger or smaller. Jack put a cloak on then tied a rope on his waist tying and cutting it. He slipped the big slice of wood between the rope as if they were armor plates. He tied two ropes on his arms and did the same thing. Same procedure with his legs. Jack put two cloaks over the first cloak. He grabbed one of the kitchen knives and the sword. Jack found a sharpening wheel in a nearby house; he made sure his sword and knife were razor sharp. Jack made a sheath for the knife by putting holes in the outer cloak. He put a leather bag on his back and was off. One of Jack's goals of this mission was to get rid of the rabbits so the town would be safer. Jack didn't know the great rabbit could replicate but the town was a low mana area so the great rabbit didn't feel compelled to send reinforcements. The first three rabbits were easy. Jack stabbed each one making a kabob with his blade then put them in the sack. A group of 5 came running, one jumped into the air but was halved by Jack's two-handed swing. The other 4 went to his shines, teeth getting caught by the wood. They became the next shishkabob. A crowd of rabbits came running. Jack crouched then swung his sword. The swing was effective but only took out half of them. The wood pressed awkwardly into his belly but he ignored it. A bunch of rabbits latched on one jumped coming for his face but Jack blocked the bite with his armored forearm. One bit into his unarmored knee. This is why he brought the kitchen knife. Jack pulled out the knife stabbing the one on his knee, then two on his stomach, three on his right thigh, one on his bicep, and then the one on his forearm. He felt his shin wood plates cracking. Pain commenced but Jack quickly stabbed a bunch on his shins with his sword. But more rabbits replaced them and one bit into an unarmoured section of his shin. They were endless. Jack looked like he was in a competition of who could clean up the fastest with a trash picker (Those sharp sticks people cleaning up litter have. His sword had skewered carcasses to the handle. Jack stopped to push the rabbit carcasses off the blade. Allowing multiple rabbits to jump and latch on. He felt pain as some of the rabbits landed on unarmoured parts. Jack used the kitchen knife again instinctively stabbing the rabbits causing him pain first. Pain shot through his shins. Jack kicked, knocking a few off. His mind could only think of one thing: escape. Jack hopped onto a barrel then onto a roof it happened so fast. It's amazing what the human body can do when under a lot of stress. This was an example of that. Jack sat for a moment in shock at what happened. But then immediately started stabbing the rabbits on his legs. After dealing with those rabbits and letting them roll off the roof. The rabbits below the roof ate the bodies of their fallen comrades. Jack counted there were only about 7 left. A rabbit he didn't count made it onto the roof. Jack quickly killed it. So now there were officially seven. The rabbits were soon jumping on the roof but they did so one at a time making them easily dispatched. After looking to make sure the coast was clear Jack hopped on the barrel and hopped down. His heartbeat calmed down after a while as he was walking to the house Emilia stayed in previously. The adrenaline subsided and Jack felt numerous painful wounds but he ignored it for the time being. He made it to the house and grabbed the cold doorknob and twisted it, locked. Jack took a step back then kicked hard right above the doorknob. The door swung open. It was dark, no fire lit but the house was well stocked. Jack grabbed some spices and food off the shelves and into the bag. He found a bottle of brandy and some wine. The label on the wine looked fancy. Jack poured some of the brandy on one of his wounds. [Jack: Uggggghhh!!] He decided he'd disinfect the other wounds later. Jack went into the bedroom and raided the dresser. They definitely seemed to at least be women's clothes. He tucked the clothes in between one of the ropes holding the wood plates. Jack didn't want to mix them in a bag filled with dead animals and spillable food/drink. The last thing he grabbed was some wrapped bars of medieval soap before he left. Finally, home Jack decided to take a well-deserved bath. He tested the snow that was now water in the spare cauldron. It was hot due to it being set next to the fire. Taking off all the cloaks, clothes, and bloodied broken armor was really satisfying to do. After preparing the bath he hopped in he felt all the pain from his wounds. But nonetheless, it was still relaxing. The water was filled with filth and blood after he entered. Jack took a few hard gulps of brandy and laid back in the nice warm water while giving himself a long overdue washing.
