Two weeks. Two weeks since anyone's seen Dallas after that day he showed up at my door. Two weeks I've been engaged. Two weeks is all it takes to scare the life out of you. The gang met James and they all get along nicely. James is in Law school and is an assistant lawyer. Sodapop has a girlfriend named Katherine, and Darry eloped with a nice girl named Florence.

Now here I am sitting alone. James went away for the weekend for a court case and my mother has been vacationing in Florida.

Clara started to hear a knocking at the door while she was soaking the bath. Her tiny hands grabbed her bath robe and tied it tightly as she made her way down stairs. The door slightly opened as the sunlight poured in with a tall shadow blocking part of it.

"Dallas?" Her voice shook as she stepped back to see his face staring at the floor.

"Can we talk?" His husky voice cheemed through her ears that she's longed for so long.

"Come in" she stepped back and opened the door. She lead him towards the kitchen and sat at the table.

"Dallas what are you doing here?" Her voice cracked the silence around them.

"I heard you're engaged." Is all he managed to say without taking his eyes off his folded hands. She slowly sat back in shock and a weight in her stomach.

"You'd like him." Her tiny voice mumbled loud enough for him to hear.

"This was a mistake" Is all she heard after a moment of silence as he got up and took large steps to the door.

"Dallas wait!" She hollered after him as she got up and chased after him. She grabbed ahold of him arm and stopped him in the hall.

"What do you want Violet?" His voice stopped as he turned around and stared at her coldly in the eyes.

"I want answers"

"I do too!" His voice shook her into taking a small step back.

"What did you want from me Dallas?!" Her voice raised in anger. "I was just a child! All I wanted was you! There's your answer! I wanted you and nothing else!"

Her voice echoed in the empty house other than the two souls.

"It's too late for that." He said coldly making his was to the door again leaving her frozen in her tracks.

"Dally" Her voice muttered in the tears she held back.

He turned around to the shooken up girl staring at her grown face.  Seeing her still defined cheekbones and blue eyes with her natural blonde hair in her face. It was less than a moment that he charged his was over to her and cuffed her face aggressively pulling her in kissing her. This time she responded with the same hunger and desire she's wanted for so long.

She wrapped her hands around his neck makeing strokes through his black hair. He leaned down and grabbed her legs rapping them around his waist holding her as if he was afraid she might disappear into thin air.

"Dally don't leave" she mumbled as he left marks down her neck.

The distance between the stairs and her room disappeared as she felt the satin sheets against her. But in one moment he stepped back and walked over to the window.

"Dallas?" She got up from her bed and made her way over to him, resting her head on his shoulder.

"This shouldn't be happening."

"What did you want when you came over here?" She rapped her hands around his waist and moved herself in front of him.

He stared down into her bright hopeful eyes and ran his fingers along the tie on her robe. In one flick it was undone leaving it open. His eyes examined her full grown body until he met her eyes once more. This was his answer as he picked her up kissing her delicate skin everywhere that laid open. That was the moment they both went into an oblivion of hope they both knew had no chance.
