"Hello?" I picked up the phone eagerly hoping it was Dallas.

"Violet? Its Soda" I heard his friendly voice come through the phone.

"Soda, is everything okay? Have you seen Dallas?"

"Violet, Dallas tried to run infront of a train last night." I dropped the phone and ran out to the Curtis house.

~

"WHERE IS HE!" I demanded as I felt tears stream down my face.

"Violet, please listen," Darry came over and put his hands on my shoulders. "he's in the bedroom recovering, he's okay." I ripped myself away and sprinted into the room.

"Vi-"

"What the hell Dallas?" I bursted into a tearful scream.

"Violet, you need to go." His voice came over me with a shiver.

"What?"

"Violet, please leave. I can't talk to you right now."

"Why'd you leave me Dallas?" I cried.

"GO AWAY CLARA!"He screamed. I ran as fast as I could until I got home. All I remember was slamming my door and falling asleep for the rest of the day.

A week went by and I haven't done anything. I didn't talk to anyone or go outside. I haven't eaten anything or slept.

"Clara," my mother said as we sat at the table in silence. "you need to eat, you're scaring me."

"I'm fine, I promise." I faked a smile and continued with my thoughts.

"Clara, there's something we need to talk about."

"What?"

"I'm sending you back to Georgia with your father. You just haven't been yourself and you're worrying me."

"Mother, I my fine-"

"Save it. You can come back when your father sees you've improved."

"MOTHER YOU CAN'T DO THIS!"

"You're trains at 8am tomorrow."She continued to eat and I ran outside into the cold winter air.

Penelope helped me pack my things and I was now boarding my train back to Georgia. I didn't say goodbye to anyone. Not Ponyboy, not Steve, Darry, Two-Bit, not even Soda. And I definitely didn't say goodbye to Dallas. He left me after I gave him all I had. I've got nothing left to loose.
