"Run, run!"

Elena felt her tears falling down. She really wanted to go back home. She regretted that she had fought with Katherine, and she was regretting even more that she decided to run away. She left her house without telling anyone and now, of course, trouble was going to follow wherever she went.

"Mom," She whispered quietly, not even the vampires heard, so she realized that she did not whisper at all. Elena looked around to see if someone could help her was around, but no, only the kidnappers. "Who could've guessed that Katerina would have the doppelgänger"

"Maybe she was trying to negotiate as well," Elena hissed and shook her head, Katherine would never do this to her, ever! They were best friends, she was calling her mother once, and still sometimes. "Katherine would never hurt me!" She snarled, making the female kidnapper smirk with amusement, which really angered Elena. "Of course love, she would never. Why would she?"

Elena knew why she was being held as hostage, and Katherine thought her well about their history. From the chattering, Elijah was the one who was going to have her under his possession. She sighed. At least he was better than Niklaus, right?

Elena was not dumb. She knew what was going to happen. It didn't really matter. She was born to get killed by whosoever. She closed her eyes as the vampires started to get panicked because Elijah was there. She took a deep breath. She knew he could not kill her, not yet.

Rose turned back to the room with the man called Elijah, Katherine showed his face to Elena once, and yes, that was the man Katherine showed her. She did not look afraid. She looked angry, mostly at herself. She really wished that Katherine was there to save her.

He sped in front of her, and she looked at him with disgust when he leaned down and smelled her neck. She stepped back harshly as her face grew sour. She hated how close he was. She wanted to punch him so badly.

After he came to the conclusion that she was human, he smirked softly. Elena looked down and sighed when she heard that he said they had a long journey ahead of them. Elijah turned to Trevor. "One last piece of business, and we are done,"

Trevor ended up dead, Elena was not surprised but still horrified by the amount of blood. The same man who killed Trevor started to drag her out. Elena knew what she had to do. She knew how to play her cards. She was the ward of Katherine Pierce. She was going to use her fire. "What about the moonstone?"

"What do you know about it?" Elijah's jaw clenched and looked back to the doppelgänger who was looking at him with hatred. "I know that you need it, and I know where it is,"

"Yes?" Elijah asked, waiting for her to reveal the location of the moonstone. Elena shook her head. He could not compel her or kill her, so she had all the upper hands. "I can help you get it,"

"Tell me where it is." Elena shook her head as she stepped back, still looking at the ancient vampire with hate and disgust. "I don't think so."

"Are you negotiating with me?" Elijah muttered under his breath as he tried to compel her, but no, he was not able to. He looked at the necklace hanging around her neck. He smirked and ripped it out, making the girl yank with pain as her gaze became more hateful. "What was this vervain doing around your neck?"

"Give it back!" Elena hissed. It was Katherine's necklace, and it had a sentimental value even though it was laced with vervain. Elijah grabbed her head and looked directly into her eyes, trying to compel her. "Tell me where the moonstone is." Elena struggled under his grip and said nothing. "Don't touch me!" She hissed, making him raise his eyebrows. He let her head go, and her eyes were darted at her necklace. When she leaned over to have it, Elijah grabbed it before her. "Give it to me,"

"And you can continue to avoid the compulsion?" Elena scoffed and looked down. She bit her cheek and tried to send her tears back. She really wanted Katherine back, and that necklace was the only thing that reminded her Katherine would not leave her alone. "Compulsion has nothing to do with it. Just give it back,"

Elena whispered as she was holding her tears back. She was angry and terrified. Elijah frowned. There was a possibility of her dying today, and she was crying about a necklace. "Why do you want it then?"

"It's my mother's. Now give it to me please!" Elijah raised his eyebrows when a tear escaped from her eyes. She wiped it immediately and looked at him. "I'm afraid that I can not. We are leaving, come. " He dragged her out of the abandoned house, not caring about Rose. She was free now and he was not concerned anymore.

Elijah watched her the whole road. She was just looking out and silently crying. She was usually trying to hold her necklace, but every time she tried, she was realizing again that she was not wearing it anymore.

He concentrated on the road, he tried really hard to keep his gaze not around her but something else. She was crying, but not like she was throwing a tantrum. She was barely making a noise, and he was pretty sure that he would not be able to hear her if he was not a vampire.

After a good five hours, Elijah parked his car in front of a house. He got out and waited for Elena to do the same, but she was not leaving the car. He narrowed his eyes and opened her door, hoping this would give her a heads up.

What he realized later was that she was sleeping. She was in the sitting position with her knees to her chest, but she was sleeping. He sighed but could not help when he felt a smile forming upon his lips. When he intended to touch her arm to pick her up, Elena opened her eyes slowly and a bit painfully due to all the tears and looked around. It took her few seconds to memorize what had happened.

She looked at the Elijah guy who was leaning on. She gulped and backed away. Elijah narrowed his eyes and smiled softly to her concern. "You were sleeping, I had to carry you home." Elena nodded and got out of the car as Elijah removed his presence away from her.

"Where are we?" Elena asked as she looked around, gulping with the fact that they must have been far, far away. Elijah smirked as he led the way, knowing her exact thoughts. They walked into the house, and Elena realized that it was going to rain, making her panic and fastening her heartbeat with the worry. Elijah frowned but shrugged it off. He was not going dig into her mind, not yet.

Elena had been suffering from astraphobia for her entire life. Even Katherine's compels were not working on her fear. She was always jumping or pacing around as the lightning or thunder broke in. It was ridiculous that she was usually ending up crying around Katherine's arms. "I will show you your room. I advise against running because you can not"

Elena looked at him hatred as they walked into a room. It was sort of big, but Elena really didn't care. The room had a window, and Elena hated it. She looked around carelessly, knowing this room was nothing but her personal hell. It was black, the room was darker than the night. It only made Elena more defenceless once the storm came. Elena just hoped that Katherine could find her before the storm, so she could take her pills and go home with her mother.
