"Fuck no!" Elena whispered as she jumped with the voice of the thunder. She closed her eyes, too much pressure on her leading her to cry. Elena hated how close she was to breakdown, like it had to rain today.

And then another lightning, Elena covered her eyes, counting down. When she couldn't hear any voice she removed her hands, such a big mistake that assuming thunder would leave her just with one shot. She screamed when she got caught unprepared.

And then her tears started to fall, hell it was so hard to resist when everything was already crushing down. Her scream alarmed one of the vampires who was working for Elijah, he sped into her room only to see her on the floor crying and covering her ears. He frowned and walked to her, crouched down to reach her level. "What's wrong?"

Elena shook her head and closed her eyes even more tighter with the other lightning, and after a good ten seconds Elena jumped with the sound of the thunder, shaking uncontrollably. The vampire gulped, he was not an expert in handling the traumas or the phobias. "Is that the thunder?"

Elena nodded, he was sure that it was more than being afraid that she was trying to hide from the voice with the tears streaming down. His hands reached for her and with the other lightning, she found herself around his arms. "No, please no" She whispering herself before hearing the loud thumb, she wanted to get lost.

He pulled her to himself, stroking her hair as she was crying and shaking, sometimes screaming with fear. He looked down, she was still crying. He pressed his lips in her hairline, wanting her to calm down. "Hey, I want you to listen my voice, listen my voice. Are you listening?" Elena nodded her head.

The vampire continued to hold her, he was not going to let her go anytime soon. "I want you to open your eyes slowly, can you do that?" Elena nodded again, trying to open her eyes. It took sometime but she managed to. Male vampire smiled and nodded to her. "Now only focus on my voice"

His voice was beautiful, Elena cannot lie, she wanted to listen his voice till her dying day. The man nodded and Elena nodded as well. She seemed calm until the next lightning, but once she saw that white line filling the room, her heart was beating again uncontrollably. "Hey, look at me, focus on me"

Elena just looked at his eyes as he was looking back to hers, and for the first time, she forgot to count. So when the thunder approached them, Elena did not scream. She did not jump or curse the weather. Thunder came and go, Elena did not seem to afraid. "That's good, tell me about yourself. What's your name?"

"Elena, my name is Elena." The vampire nodded, smiling as she started to talk. Elena returned a small smile and continued to look at his eyes. "Alright, my name is Eliza. It is a pleasure to meet you, Elena. " Elena nodded her head. It was a really pleasure to meet him. Eliza, Eliza, Eliza, she was playing his name in her head like a hit song, and it was hypnotizing her.

"You should sleep, you must be tired." Elena nodded, and since her fear was leaving her alone slowly, she was in need of sleep. He looked at the girl who was looking at him. It was a weird situation. "Can I?" Eliza asked as he placed his hand to her upper back. Elena nodded, and the vampire picked her up, placing her on the bed. "Just close your eyes and sleep, you will be alright," He whispered before leaving the room, which caused him to approach Elijah, who was smirking at the vampire.

"So you and Elena had met." Elijah's smirk was still remaining, teasing his oldest friend. Eliza narrowed his eyes and shook his head. "She was afraid, I believe it is not a simple fear. Occurs as a phobia, she needs a professional help"

"Good thing we have you as her special therapist then," Elijah teased his friend as Eliza sighed and looked at his sire with boredom. "I was just helping the wretched. Must you ridicule it into non existing ways?"

"If you say so, but I must warn you. Once Niklaus is aware of her, she means to leave, calculate your actions based on that so you won't get heartbroken" Eliza frowned as Elijah walked away, the older vampire stopped and turned around again. "Her adopted parents are dead, as well as her biological father. Her mother is a vampire who had never seen her child. Someone must have looked after her. Someone who knows about vampires and the curse placed upon Niklaus"

Eliza frowned, not understanding what he needed to do with that information. Elijah looked at his sire as he narrowed his eyes. "Ask her about her mother and show her that." Elijah threw the necklace to Eliza, who nodded to his sire as Elijah walked away.

He slowly entered the room and saw Elena was sleeping. Eliza sighed. For some reason, he did not want her to get hurt in any way. He walked and sat down on the chair next to her bed. "You really have something behind your eyes, don't you?"

Elena continued sleeping as he watched her sleeping. She looked so lovely and fragile as well. He couldn't remember Katerina that fragile even when she was human. The air thickened when he thought about Katerina, oh how he loved and hated Katerina from the very beginning.

Katherine was going out of her mind when Elena was missing for two days now. Someone was cloaking her so powerfully that even Lucy Bennett could not find the poor girl. She was pacing around, blaming herself for not stopping Elena or starting a fight over something that stupid. "Whoever is cloaking her must be strong as hell,"

"That means he has her, Elijah has her. They will kill her, and he will hand her to Klaus!" Katherine covered her mouth with her hand and continued pacing. "Can you locate the vampire? Lucy-"

"You know how it works, I need something belonging to them in order to locate them." Young witch always liked Elena. Everyone liked Elena to be specific. Katherine sighed and sat down, closing her eyes as they were filled with tears. "I failed her, just like I failed Nadia."

Lucy didn't say anything. She just left the room. She was not used to seeing Katherine that vulnerable. Katherine looked around, hoping she could find her way out like she had always done b, t this time, it was c more complicated than it could ever be.

She just closed her eyes, hoping Elena could survive on her own. Because, to be honest, she was on her own from now on.
