Eliza walked back to the mansion with defeated look upon his face. Elijah was waiting for him, sitting in his couch and drinking his scotch. "I am done"

Elijah frowned with his statement. "What do you mean, you are done?"

"I am leaving, the girl is dead, Klaus will never achieve to become a hybrid for the next five centuries. By that time your younger sires can get stronger and you will add more to your army" Eliza stated and walked inside of the room. Elijah, least to say, shocked. So this was his friend, his true companion, his first sire.

"So long your loyalty-"

"This has nothing to do with my loyalty Elijah! I just killed that innocent girl just because you hate your brother. She was not supposed to get involved, she was not supposed to die!" Eliza yelled at his oldest friend, but then shook his head with a clear as day disappointment. "Once upon a time, when I was looking at you I was seeing a hero. Helping wretched, always stays by the truth; the man of honor"

He walked to the door, looking at his sire with something Elijah could not really bring himself to say. "Now all I see is a killer, a machine, maybe a monster. So your heroics are long gone like my tales"

Elijah frowned at him as he sped out of the house, going who knows where. He walked back to the parlor with his drink he was holding.

He debated his words; a killer, a machine a monster; it sounded like a lot to process. He was not sure if he took it too far or was it just Eliza making a whole lot of fuss about it.

He deep down knew Eliza would never make fuss about things. He was calm and rational, he was Elijah's mind and soul combined together. The only one he had ever trusted. "Talia!"

After a few seconds, pale skinned witch walked into the living room. "Yes sir?"

"I want you to do a locator spell" The witch nodded and walked through the door. "For who, sir?"

Elijah cleared his throat and took a deep breath. It was hard to speak now. "Katherine Pierce, a photo would be enough I assume"

The witch frowned but nodded. Both walked out of the room to Elijah's study.

Back in Mystic Falls, Katherine frowned with the unknown caller ID popped up on her phone screen. She debated it in her mind for a minute before answering it. "Hello?"

"Katherine?" Katherine gasped as she heard her voice. It was fragile, like she was about to breakdown and cry. "Lena, baby is that you?"

"Yes, hey Kath" They both felt their tears through the phone, reaching to their ears. "Oh my god! Where have you been Elena? I was so scared that Klaus had found you!"

Elena gulped and looked at Klaus who was standing by the door, she was well aware that he was hearing every single word; maybe before than her at that matter. He let out a huff. "Katherine you need to listen to me, I am with Klaus"

"Elena! Elena are you aware of what you are saying! Get out of this place, right the hell-"

"He is my mate Katherine!" Her voice was a bit harsh for her liking but Katherine did not care at that moment. "What-"

"You need to come to New Orleans, we can talk when you arrive. I have a surprise for you" Elena smiled softly and looked at Klaus. She heard Katherine cursing in Bulgarian. "Alright, I'll be there by tomorrow"

"Be careful-"

"You be careful!" And the line went dead. Elena took a shaky breath and shrugged with tiredness. "This could have been worse, I guess"

Klaus just smiled. "Everything could have been worse love. Now you should get some sleep and we will talk about everything tomorrow" Elena nodded her head hit the pillow softly.

"Goodnight Klaus"

"Goodnight love"

In the mean time, Katherine was about to leave the house when she heard a knock on the door. Sighing, the older doppelgänger walked to the door to answer it. She gasped as the door revealed what was supposed to stay in past. "Katerina"

"Eliza?" Her eyebrows frowned with confusion and fear. "Won't you invite me in?"

"I am in hurry Eliza, go back to your master and continue being a little damn puppet" Eliza narrowed his eyes and sighed. "Alright then, let's give a try to my way"

He immediately pulled Katherine out of the house and did not let his hold on her arm go. "Now, we can talk. It is about Miss Elena"

Katherine frowned and looked at Eliza as he sat down on the chair. "Come sit, then you can leave for all you want"

"What do you know about Elena?"

"That she is afraid of thunderstorms?" Eliza looked at Katherine cautiously before continuing. "That I sent her to Klaus. Elijah thinks I killed her"

"Why did not you?"

"Unlike you Katerina, she is innocent-"

"I was innocent too!" Katherine yelled at the man in front of her. Eliza raised his brows. "And I did not kill you either Katerina"

Katherine huffed and crossed her arms, not caring about the excuse. "So Klaus is Elena's mate?"

Eliza was surprised that she knew. "How do you-"

"Me and Elena are communicating, I am going to New Orleans to see her" Eliza smiled with fondness. "Splendid, now you will have a company with you!"

Katherine frowned and shook her head. "You are not coming-"

"Of course I do, grab your suitcase. My car is far more faster" Katherine went to protest but she realized Eliza was already holding the car door for her. She sighed and grabbed her bags, locking the house before walking to the car.

"Do not be grumpy, it will be fun" Katherine narrowed her eyes. She was hoping it to be terrible so she would never miss the vampire who once ruined her life.
