Chapter Four.

What The Hell...

Upon reaching the hospital, Veronica barged into her father's hospital room not caring who was there.

Arian.

What is she doing here? I thought she would never show her face ever again.

"Hello, there sister, nice of you to show up...."

"Now it is not the time", their mother tells her.

"It is okay mum. How are you, Veronica?", Arian tells her smiling while Liam holds her by the waist.

"And who is this, handsome?", Veronica asks eying Liam from top to bottom.

"Liam, my boyfriend. Babe, this is my sister, Veronica".

"Nice to meet you, Veronica".

He looks rich and perfect for me. I think I found my match. Sorry sister, it seems that you are my ticket to getting what I want in life.

"Did you get surgery, Arian? Or does he know how you really look...."

"Veronica that's enough. We are here for your father and for your childish bickering", their mother scolded her again.

"I am sorry Liam about my daughters....."

"It is fine, no need to apologize. I am here for Arian because she needs me. Plus I wanted to meet you but Arian wanted it to be the right time. But there's no right time, right?", Liam tells her.

"That's true. But I am glad you are here for her".

"Me too".

Veronica looked at Liam and then at her sister. Arian had a smile on her face that was filled with happiness. She couldn't help but feel jealous of Arian.

"Your husband is out of danger now but he shouldn't be exhausted. It was a minor heart attack. So he will be okay. You can go in and see him. One by one" " the doctor tells them.

"Thank you".

"Arian and Liam you two should go and freshen up and then you can come back later. Because you guys have just arrived and you look tired", Helene tells her daughter.

"But mum what about you? You have been here since last night. You also deserve to rest. How about this? I ask the nurse to bring you a bed next to dad?", Arian tells her mother.

"No need for that Arian, mum. I will stay back and look after dad until you guys come back. Besides, Theo will be coming by later to see dad", Veronica explains to them.

She wanted to get a reaction from Arian but it seems like she failed because Arian didn't even look at her.

All Veronica could feel was jealousy seeing Arian happy. She didn't want that for her sister.

"Okay, we will drive you home, right babe?" Liam asks Arian.

"Yes, and If it is okay with you I will stay with her...."

"No need Arian, It will be only for an hour or two. Besides, I will call you if I need something or when I need something. Okay?".

Arian nodded and when she turned to Veronica to say bye, she was already talking on the phone.

Some things never change.

As they headed out of the hospital, someone was delivering a message to Arian's rented apartment.

They dropped Helena home and they made their way to their apartment.

"I am exhausted, please order pizza with...."

"Extra cheese. Yes I know", Liam interrupted her.

"Thanks".

As soon as they entered the building, the doorman ran towards Arian.

"Hey, sorry but this just arrived for you", he tells Arian handing her a brown envelope.

"Thanks Rob".

"Are you expecting something?"Liam asks her as they enter the elevator.

"No, are you?".

"Babe, the only person I know here is you, Mike and Mandy. So to answer your question , no".

When they reached their apartment, Arian had the urge to open it.

"Okay, let's get you open", She took a letter opener and tore it.

What she saw wasn't something she ever wanted.

Her divorce papers.

They weren't signed by Theo.

"What the hell is this? This has to be a joke", Arian says. Liam looked at her with a confused look on his face.

"What is the matter?" he asks her.

"This", she tells him showing him the papers in her hands.

There's always an explanation for everything. Don't stress out. We will know everything soon".

"Alright but now I need to take a shower and pizza".
