Chapter 13

Consequences.

Everything people do either good or bad has consequences. Each action isn't without a consequence.

Veronica knew that she had to do something before Spencer told anyone what she had done to her sister.

"I have to do something before that idiot tells anyone what happened?" she tells herself as she walks into the hospital looking for Lima's room number.

"Hey miss you shouldn't be here", a nurse stops her.

"I am looking for my sister's room number. She told me but silly me. It seems I have forgotten about it", she lies to the nurse.

"What's your sister's name? I can help you find her".

As Veronica was about to tell her, she saw Mandy walking out of one of the rooms.

"Thank you but I see her. Excuse me", she runs towards the corridor hiding as Mandy passes her by.

"I found her. Finally". Veronica walked into the room to find her sister lying beside Liam.

She slowly closed the door and walked towards her sister.

"You know it is like someone is protecting you, sister. But not for long?".

Before Arian lifted her head, Veronica put a chloroform cloth over her mouth.

"Now to get you out of here", she says as she drops Arian on the couch. She went out of the room looking for a wheelchair which she found in the corridor.

As she kept Arian in the wheelchair, the doorknob opened and Theo walked into the room.

"Let her go, now", he shouts at her startling her.

"Here comes the savior. We both know she didn't choose you, why are still protecting her?", she asks him.

"Your jealousy wouldn't do much because we both know you can't get out of here without getting arrested by the police who are on their way here. I gave you everything you ever wanted but that wasn't enough, was it? You wanted more but that's how rotten you are..."

"She took everything from me. Our parents love care, and you. And now she will pay for it. And You will not get in my way not now not ever", she tells him drawing a gun out of her bag and pointing at him.

"Stop you don't have to do this. There is always another way to get you out without anyone getting hurt. Just give me the gun", he tells her moving closer to her trying to get the gun away from her hands.

"Nice try, but I know what you are trying to do. Move away from the door and I will be leaving with her and you or anyone can't stop me", she tells him while moving the wheelchair and waving the gun telling Theo to move.

"Veronica, stop this. She is your sister. Your own sister. Why are you doing this to her? What did she do to you that you hate her so much?".

"Move before you end up like him", she tells him pointing at Liam who was lying in bed.

"I can't let you take her..."

"Why? Didn't you look down on her and bully her. What changed? The fact that she is hot, sexy, or has lost weight", Veronica taunted Theo.

She knows the guilt he has been feeling ever since she came back from Spain.

"Well, I am not the one pointing a gun at my own sister's head. Besides, I gave her what she wanted, her freedom. You got what you wanted now let her go. You wanted me and my money. Tell me how much you want for you to get out of our lives...."

"This isn't about money. It is about her. She ruined my plans when she came back. Arian should have stayed where she was because of her, my plans, my future is ruined..."

While Veronica was talking to Theo, she didn't notice that Arian was starting to wake up. She couldn't believe that her sister would do something like this.

But this is Veronica, someone who is willing to do anything to get what she wants no matter what the consequences are.

"Theo, let her take me. I don't want any more problems with her. She won as she always did." Arian tells them.

"You see Theo, she would rather sacrifice her life to save yours. As she ruined my life and now she is pretending to be a saint...."

"Well, sis you ruined your own life. I left Theo because of you and now Liam is in a coma because of you. And now you are pointing a gun at my head. What happened to you, Veronica? You weren't like this, what changed?".

"Everything changed the day you married Theo. I was supposed to marry him and not you. You took him away from me...."

Veronica pointed the gun at her sister's forehead. Theo looked on as Arian walked towards her sister with tears in her eyes.

"You can end it by shooting me, that's what you want right? Go ahead, sis. But remember one thing that I love you and you are still my sister", Arian tells him closing her eyes and hearing the gun being cloaked by Veronica.

Theo watched as Veronica cloaked her gun ready to pull the trigger ending her own sister's life.

"Veronica, stop. Please stop. This isn't the way. You want me, you can have me just..just let her go", Theo tries to get Veronica to change her mind.

"No, if I surrender I know that I will go to prison and that's not going to happen. She is my ticket out of here and I am leaving with her", she began dragging her towards the door.

"Arian, I'm sorry...."

Arian shook her head smiling at Theo.

"Just take care of Liam, please. And tell him that I love him so much", she tells Theo.

"That's enough now. Move before I shot your lover-boy", Veronica pushed Arian outside the door.

"You don't have to do this. There's always another way out..."

Arian couldn't finish what she was saying when Veronica slapped her so hard that blood came out of the corner of her mouth.

"Shut up, before I shut you up forever. Now move ", she pushed her sister towards the elevator and then pushed the button to go down.

"Get in now", she pushed Arian into the elevator.

Each action comes with a consequence that will make someone think twice before doing things.
