Chapter 15

Two Months Later.

Who Are You?

It has been two months since Veronica and Arian had gotten into an accident resulting in Arian being in a coma.

Liam has been staying with her and hasn't left her side at all.

"You stink. I will stay with her while you go and take a shower and then get some food", Mandy offered Liam.

She knew that he wouldn't accept the offer.

"No, I can't leave her. What if she wakes up?".

"Fine, I brought you some clothes for you to change, and would you please shave. I know my best friend wouldn't want to see you like this".

"Okay stay with her", Liam gets up and walks towards the bathroom.

He couldn't help but think about Arian laying there. None of the doctors would tell him anything.

"Bestfriend wake up. There's a man who loves you will all his heart and he is waiting for you just to wake up", Mandy tells her while holding her hand.

"Mandy, what happened to me?" Arian asks her while opening her eyes.

"Arian, are you alright? I am going to get the doctor", Mandy walked out of the room.

"Mandy, what's going on?" Liam walked out wearing sweatpants but when he saw Arian awake he quickly rushed to her side.

"Arian, my love".

Arian looked at Liam feeling confused.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?" a confused Arian asked Liam.

"Arian...."

"I don't know who you are. Please let me go", Arian started shouting at Liam.

"It is okay I wouldn't hurt you. I promise", Liam tells her while putting on a shirt.

"I am sorry it is just that I don't know who you are and Mandy left me with you...."

Arian started stuttering, and Liam moved closer to her.

"Hey, calm down", he held her in his arms comforting her.

"Thank you, but you still haven't told me who you are", Arian lifted her head and looked at Liam's face.

"I am someone who loves you with all his heart..."

"But you can't love a married woman. I am a married woman".

Before Liam could say anything, Mand came in with the doctor.

"Hello, Arian. I am doctor Lopez. How are you feeling?", the doctor asks her.

"I am fine apart from the headache. That's all. Mandy who is he?", Arian asks her friend pointing at Liam.

"He is a friend", Mandy looks at Liam sympathetically knowing that he would die for Arian.

"Can I talk to you in private?" The doctor ushered them outside.

"What's wrong, doctor?" Liam asks him.

"It seems that she is suffering from amnesia. I don't know if or when she will get her memories back".

"Doctor, you have to do something. I can't lose her. She thinks she is a married woman". Liam tells them with tears in his eyes knowing that he might lose the woman he loves with everything he is.

"All we can do now is be there for her and support her in any way we can", Mandy tries to calm Liam down. "And we have to call Theo and let him know. Don't worry the mind might not remember but the heart always does", she added.

"Thank you, doctor".

After the doctor left, Mandy knew that she would have to call Theo even though she severely disliked Theo. But this is her friend, her best friend.

"It is okay, Mandy. This is for her", Liam tells Mandy handing her a phone to call Theo.

Theo was in his office when he received a call from Mandy explaining what was going on with Arian and that she needed his help.

"Mandy, I can't do this for Liam. I don't deserve her...."

"You got that right, you don't but this is for her. For Arian and not for either of you. So I suggest you get your ass to the hospital before I come and drag you down here", Mandy tells him hanging up.

But first Theo needed to go and see Veronica who was in jail awaiting her trial.

Veronica sustained mild injuries but she will never walk again. She will spend her life in a wheelchair.

"Well, well what do we have here?", Veronica says when she saw who her visitor is.

"How are you doing?", Theo asks her.

"Better than that bitch who is in a coma, I hope she never wakes up".

"That's why I am here. Your sister is awake but...."

So you are here to rub it in my face, right? She will always choose Liam and not you. We are done, you can leave now".

She knocked on the door and when it opened she wheeled herself out of the room.

The memories we have aren't usually carried in our minds but it is in our hearts. Our hearts will always remember.
