Chapter 14

The End Of The Beginning.

Every day we try to change the way we start the day but what we plan might not be what we want to happen.

As Veronica walked behind Arian holding her by the gunpoint she knew that this might be the end for her but one way or another she needed the plan to get out of whatever mess she put herself through.

"Get in the car, Arian. Now", she pushed her to open the car door.

"Okay, I am opening the door", Arian opened the passenger door got in, and closed the door.

"Don't you dare try anything or you will have a bullet in your head, Okay?".

Arian looked at her sister, thinking to herself while shaking her head at Veronica.

"I am sorry Veronica for whatever I did to you. All I wanted to say is that I am here or you, you are my sister..."

"No stop just stop", Veronica tells her sister. While she was trying to overtake the truck that was coming towards them but unfortunately she couldn't handle the car.

She crashed the car into a tree.

"Veronica, are you alright?", Arian asks her sister but she can answer.

She looked at the driver's seat to see her unconscious sister. She could feel her head throbbing and blood on her face.

"I am sorry, Veronica", but all she heard was someone shouting on their phone to get an ambulance.

Arian could hear the sirens of the ambulance approaching and all she wanted was to be with Liam.

"I love you, Liam," she loses consciousness. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Liam gained consciousness and was looking for Arian.

"Mandy, where is she? Don't you lie to me", he asks Mandy knowing that she can't lie.

"Liam you should rest for a while. I am sure she went to get some tea..."

"Mandy, Arian hates tea. Now would please tell me where is she?".

Liam was getting angry when they heard a commotion outside.

"I will be right back", Mandy tells him getting up and checking what was happening.

What she saw wasn't something she would want to see. Her best friend was on the stretcher, the doctors were trying to revive her.

"Come on, don't let go just yet", one of the doctors who was doing CPR tells Arian.

Mandy pulled one nurse aside and asked her what had happened.

The nurse explained to her what happened.

"A car accident, the driver crashed it on a tree. The driver might never walk again and the passenger is in critical condition".

"What happened to Arian?", Liam asks holding onto the door.

"Liam...." Mandy's eyes were filled with tears as she was looking at her best friend who was lying on the stretcher.

He moved closer to her without trying to fall.

"Baby please, fight. Don't leave me".

"Sir you have to move so we can get your wife into surgery now", the doctor tells him.

Mandy pulls him back crying.

"Liam, she is strong and she will make it" Mandy tried to assure him but Liam knew that what he saw was more serious than Mandy said.

"Sir we need to get you back into bed", the nurse tells him but Liam is too stubborn and doesn't want to leave.

"I promise you that I will update you on Arian's situation. Now please," Mandy pleaded with him.

"Fine but I want to know everything that will and might happen to her. Mandy, promise me that".

"I promise".

Liam knew that he could trust Mandy in this situation. It was because of Mandy that he met the love of his life.

"Mandy, I can't live without her and you know that. She is my future. I can't lose her not now not ever".

"I know that Liam. She is more than my best friend, my sister. I can't bear to lose her especially now", Mandy says caressing her bump.

"Come on, Liam rest and I will go and check on what is happening and call Mike".

"Mandy, thank you".
