A/N: I'm concerned that maybe I'm not healthily processing my grandma's death and having to go to her memorial might be my breaking point but it's fine we're just putting our feelings aside until they go away:D
Dream's POV:
"Hey, can you quiet down plea-" I looked over and made direct eye contact with George, I hadn't noticed his eyes were that dark until now. It's funny because we were just trashing him before we left. I don't like this guy. I don't exactly know him either, but it doesn't matter. He's a dick with no respect for people, so why would I like him?
I flipped him off and smirked then turned back around and kept talking with my friends. "Dream! Be nice," Bad scolded me for flipping him off, but it was worth it.
A waiter came to take our orders, then right after she left, a group of familiar guys from school ran over to George's table. "Don't forget! Party at Cas's!! We really need you guys there, plus Trevor's parents have a fuck ton of alcohol so we're going to get totally wasted!" One of the guys told the people sitting with George. I knew all of them and all of their names. Jax, a total idiot, sit's next to me in Geography, and low key a whore. Then there's Cas, slightly more intelligent, but still a dumbass, with no personality. He's probably a fucking Virgo. Male Virgo's are the most boring creatures alive, besides suburban stay-at-home dads who read the bible and grill too much.
Suddenly I got an idea. "Boys, we have a party to crash," I whispered while leaning in with a smirk on my face. "WHAT!? That's your worst idea yet," Bad told me. "Yeah, okay, it's definitely like walking into a burning building, but it could be fun! Come on, it's senior year and I haven't even gotten arrested yet," Karl and Nick groaned. "Can't we just lay low this year?" Nick asked. "No! If we lay low we'll lose our sense of identity,"
I ended up convincing them to come to the party with me, which didn't take much because I know what makes them all break. Those are the wonderful benefits that come along with such a long-term friendship.
Maybe that's my role in the friend group. The one who's in control.
It sounded a bit manipulative once I started thinking about it though, so I'd have to send that one back to the work table for now.
~Time skip~
George's POV:
"Hey! Are you going to that party tonight?" I asked while on a call with Wilbur and Niki. "Yeah, probably. A few of my close friends from dance really want me there," Niki told me. I nodded, even though they can't see me, it was an uncontrollable response. "Ugh, I just hope it's not too crazy. The last time I went to a party everyone got drunk and it was an annoying thing," I explained and rolled onto my side. Trevor always throws these big open invite parties, and the basic rule is that you aren't cool if you don't drink. Wilbur sighed, "yeah, I do not need a repeat of Trevor's summer party," I started laughing, it wasn't even that bad. He got drunk and started singing to everyone with this guitar he stole from this one kid at the party. He's really good, and I keep telling him that he should look into singing more, but he always says the same thing, "singing is stupid and I wouldn't even know how to sing if I tried," which I thought was stupid, because he'd learn, but he's not the convincing type.
Plus, it doesn't help that in our town, "singing is gay."
"I don't know, I think it will be fun! We're definitely leaving the children at home though," Niki told us, referring to the three freshmen we met today. I laughed, "we're already calling them, 'the children?'"
"Of course! Puffy and I are raising them together," she explained, then got into a conversation about it with Wilbur, which I tuned out of.
I don't know what I'd even wear tonight. Probably sweatpants, a t-shirt, and a jacket, the usual. I scolded myself for even caring, even though I do this every time I have to go out. It's such bullshit, I don't even know why I care so much. If you don't look hot, then people don't like you, that's how high school works.
"You little shits! Why would you call without me!" I zoned back in when I heard Puffy yelling on the call. I laughed, "you weren't answering, check chat," she went silent for a little bit before sending the middle finger in our group chat. We all laughed before Niki asked her about the party.
We decided we'd all go. As a group, that way we'd keep each other in check and also not be awkward at the same time. "Good plan! Disperse," Wilbur left the call, followed by Niki and Puffy, and soon enough I was left alone. I clicked my phone off and hurried over to my dressor to get changed. After I was ready, I brushed my hair back and grabbed my school bag so my parents would think I was leaving to study.
"Where are you going?" My dad asked as soon as I reached the front door. "Oh, I'm spending the night with Wilbur. We have a big assignment due, and we're also going to practice a bit for the homecoming game," I explained, he nodded. "That's my boy! Don't disappoint me, son," I half smiled and waved to my mom, who was cooking dinner, then left quickly. I walked down the street to where Wilbur lived, which was only a block away. As soon as I got there, he came running out of his house in the same clothes he wore to school and his car keys. We got in the car then drove to Niki's house, which wasn't too far, and close to Puffy's, then we swung around and got Puffy's friend, Zak, who hung around every now and then. I didn't know him that well, but he was pretty much friends with everyone and had a ton of connections all over the school. "Hey man!" She fist-bumped him as soon as he got in the car, then smirked my way before looking down to get buckled. "Hey, Zak!" Niki smiled over at him, then looked back down at her phone.
Puffy and Zak were talking and laughing the whole way there, and Wilbur was muttering words along with the radio while Niki sang it out loud and proud. I loved my friends. Life is perfect...sort of.
A/N: Cute. I can't tell which group I love more...Nah, definitely Dream's friends. You'd catch me hanging with them ANY day bro.
