Y/N honestly did not expect Recovery Girl and how talented she was.

"I can only speed up body regeneration. Anything that the body cannot heal in itself, I cannot heal anymore." Recovery Girl shared over a cup of tea. "We are definitely a rare kind, a rare commodity. Everyone wants to be healed instantly."

Y/N lifted the teacup to her lips, "Yes." That was how her family treated her, a mere commodity. Something they have to hide from the world to prevent possible theft.

"You are a talented girl, Principal Nezu already informed me what your quirk is and it is sad that you were used that way." The older woman poured herself more tea, "But that is honestly the best way you can train yourself. You need to push yourself to be better at what you do, to make your quirk better."

She honestly didn't want to use her quirk anymore. It was too painful but she didn't want to tell anyone yet.

"I can train you. I can make your pain tolerance higher. I can help you regenerate faster." Recovery Girl looked at her, "But it will be a difficult road."

When Y/N opened her mouth to speak, she heard her father's words again. She was made for everyone else. Why was she being selfish?

"I...I would like that."

Her quirk would help other people. How selfish was she to keep it all to herself?

And so her training began, she started to work under Recovery Girl. She started treating the students who were brought to the clinic.

In her dorm, she was given books to study. She had to work even if she had cuts, burns, and bruises. Y/N had to withstand the pain. She had to work hard to make sure her body recovers faster.

Y/N needed to learn about medicine, anatomy, and everything that can help her better with her quirk.

She learned alongside the Class I-A, who were also often brought to her unconscious. Whenever they were actually conscious, they would often say no to her treatments because they knew it caused her pain. But Y/N was adamant, she had to be better.

"How's training, Y/N?" Mina wrapped her arms around her. It was a Friday and everyone was so relaxed. They were all so exhausted from today's activities.

Before she can reply, Bakugo raised an eyebrow and spoke. "What the fuck is wrong with your hand?" He just walked inside the commom area, "You're fucking bleeding."

Y/N pursed her lips, not wanting to say anything. She saw her friend's concerned faces. They were all so concerned when her training started but they never said anything because Y/N did tell them that she wanted to be stronger and this was the only way.

So the only thing she could do was leave the room.

Bakugo followed her. "I asked you a damn question, damn it."

"This is nothing."

"You're fucking bleeding, you freak. I thought you regenerate quickly? Did you just heal someone before you came back here?" He demanded, grabbing her by the arm.

Y/N hissed in pain, "Don't... That's..."

Bakugo quickly withdrew his hand, "Fuck this, Y/N, why the hell are you putting yourself through this?" He gritted his teeth, frustrated now.

"Because I am made for everyone else!" Y/N could feel the tear running down her face. She turned to face him before she continued, "I was made to heal other people. I was made to heal other people!"

Bakugo groaned softly, massaging the bridge of his nose. He hated seeing tears from other people. "What the fuck is that answer?"

"I..." Y/N wiped her tears but they just kept coming. "My father told me."

"Well aren't you just lucky, he is not here now." Bakugo rolled his eyes, "You are not under his damn roof, Y/N. Stop acting for other people and consider what it is that you fucking need. What you fucking want!"

Y/N stared at him. Midoriya and the others always said being a hero is being to save other people. Wasn't that how he thought too?

"But heroes save others..." She said softly, looking at her feet.

Bakugo scoffed, "But you don't want to be a hero." He pushed his hands in his pocket. He knew she didn't want to be. She didn't know what heroes and villains were before she came to UA. "You never wanted that so why are you even trying?"

Y/N lifted her eyes, "But I have this quirk and..."

"Do you even want to use your quirk after everything that happened to you?" He raised his eyebrow again. When she didn't answer, Bakugo left her with these words, "It isn't selfish to want to put yourself first for a change."
