Granted his parents are both in the fashion industry but that doesn't mean he shared the same interest. It just means that his taste is better than the rest. But it does not mean that he enjoys shopping.
It he can avoid it, he will.
"Have you already picked anything, loser?" Bakugo grumbled as he looked up from playing games in his phone. Y/N was browsing around, moving from one corner to another.
Y/N looked at him, "How do I know what would fit me?"
He forgot that he was with an alien. "You can try those on, you know." Bakugo got up from his seat and took two dresses, one design and two sizes. "Try these on and we'll see."
"Alright."
He pointed the dressing room out to her and waited quietly. Bakugo's patience was not lengthy as Kirishima's but he knew he had to try and understand.
"Uh, Katsuki?" Damn, why did she have to call out his name that way? "Can you see if this fits me?" Then she unlocked the door.
The blond turned red, "What the hell? No. I am not going in there! Look at them yourself!" Bakugo stepped back and growled as he made his way over to his seat. He grumbled as he pulled out his cellphone again, "Damn nerd."
Y/N stepped out, "I think this fits me well." She stepped towards Bakugo to show him and indeed it was. The dress looked great on her - it was just that...
"Your scars are from the people you heal huh?" He commented softly. This was the first time he has ever seen her bare arms since she was always wrapped in long-sleeves and jackets. "Don't they disappear or something?"
"Ah, no. I don't think they do. The smallers wounds usually heal up quite nicely but the bigger ones stay." Her eyes went from one scar to another.
Sensing that she was about to remember her father and the horrible situation she was placed in, Bakugo showed her his hand, his calloused and scarred hand. "It just means we're getting better." He huffed before pulling back. "No need to hide them from anyone."
Y/N looked at him. Yes, she believed he was scary. He was. And yes, she also believed when the girls back at the dorm said he meant well. He does. But seeing this side made her appreciate him a lot.
Although she didn't know of his story, Y/N knew this person has experienced a lot and has emerged stronger and far better than he was before. Can she do that as well?
Before she can respond to him, they heard yelling. Bakugo whipped his head to the entrance of the store and saw people running. He looked back at Y/N, knowing he can't let her be anywhere unsafe. He was his guardian for fuck's sake!
But as a hero, he can't also leave when he was clearly needed. He needed to make a decision and quick.
"Hide."
"What?"Bakugo snarled, "I said hide! Go in the dressing room and don't come out until I tell you to do so." He turned to the sales clerk, "You have some kind of security measures for this kind of thing, right?" When they nodded, Bakugo handed Y/N his phone, "I'll be back."
He ran out of the store and saw a group of thugs robbing a nearby place. The young hero chuckled to himself, this was going to be a piece of cake. Without any other thought in his head, he launched at them, blasting his way over. There were four guys in total but he knew he could knock them over quickly.
"Hey fuckers, over here." He smirked.
The thugs all faced him, "Yo kid, get out of the damn way." Said one of them before spitting on the ground. "Before we hurt..."
"You? Hurt me? Not a fucking chance." Bakugo knows that they'll all run away quickly, the yelling and the commotion will alert any patrolling hero. He just needs to keep them until someone arrives.
Suddenly, a plant pot from shot its way towards Bakugo. He raised his hand, blasted it off, and smirked back at them, "Is that the best you got?"
He rushed towards them, beating them one by one. Their quirks were not good - the best they had was the guy who can levitated the pot which they used against Bakugo and even then, he could do it one thing at a time.
The blond chuckled, needing some form of training. "Tch, can't even stand up against a student, huh?"
"S-stay right there or I'll kill this child off."
Bakugo turned his head to the sound. One of the guys managed to snatch up a quivering child from god knows where and hold him hostage.
"You just have to let us run off and I'll release him." The thug demanded, holding a knife on the neck of the crying child.
Of course, he knew he can't blast off the glass behind the thug, he will only hurt the child that way. And even, he didn't want to injure a civilian in any way.
Bakugo stepped forward, trying to see if he was bluffing. "Put the damn kid down and maybe I'll let you live."
"Don't come any closer!" The thug panics, pressing the knife on the child's skin.
Bakugo tried to think of other ways that would not: a. ruin the structure b. injure the child c. get him into damn trouble. But everything boils down to the display window behind the thug. He knew it was the easiest to get him down but the child...
"Do it!" He heard her all too familiar voice. Did she not obey his instructions? "Leave it to me." She yelled out.
And with that Bakugo released an explosion.
