CHAPTER THREE
candlelight

Clenching his jaw that left ajar after her sentence while his eyebrows raised in mocking attitude Renjun stared deeply at the girl who's arms tightly wrapped each other behind her, legs also at the same time in a chair and her once well plaid red silk dress has some cuts in the hems due to too much dragging at random places and it getting pricked on some pointy things. A amused laugh emitted afterwards as the latter throwback his head and swing his left leg whilst never breaking his glance on the girl.

Meigui circled her shoulder, tilts her head in both sides and swayed her hair to the side to get rid of her excessive hair that blocks her view from the two toned hair boy who is looked beyond piss and unpleased from her too much confidence despite of being tied up. Eyes rolling the boy sneered and momentarily shakes his head as he leans down to eye the girl directly and dangerously teasingly reducing the gap between them.

“Aw I'm so scared right now that I think I'm pissing on my pants at the moment because I don't bey thy princess's command~ what are you going to do now? call your dogs and tell them to bite me... sorry not sorry princess but you should cut that bossy attitude of yours because I'm the boss here know your fucking place” Renjun spat harshly whilst tilting his head to the side as he clench his jaws again to reduce the irritation he's getting to much now.

The girl scowl internally but keep it right away inside her to stay calm at the very moment even though her life is on the line, a little grin paints in her face as she giggle mockingly at the boy while furrowing her brows.

“Call my what... dogs? aren't you the dog here look at you shamelessly barking infront of my face call this good boy's owner and advice them to keep their dog on leash” Meigui spat back confidently as she keep her head high straight back to the boy with evident red patch botches all around his face before turning into a whole red one.

That single momentum of his hostage sparks a wildfire inside the boy's chest - he feels so weak and controlled under the mere girl's gaze despite of being him supposedly to be the one dominating her and not her dominating him. His pride is being shamelessly stepped by a target's dirty sole with degrading words tattooed allover it's skin that burns in the latter's soul.

Dark thunderous clouds loom inside Renjun's head as it drive him nuts, Meigui's voice ranging inside it like a broken melody he already grow despised of. It crawls in his delicate bruised skin causing more damage than the fresh one he got from the party ambush they made for Meigui. Venom. It's pure venom rolling out of her tongue and spitting towards him putting him on edge.

“Don't you dare confidently calling me like that too shamefully when you're completely out of place and let me tell you this rose... no one owns me” Renjun growls immediately grabbing the girl's throat and wrapping his hand with fingers adorned with expensive ring in each of it as he furiously put too much pressure on it. Fire is blazing up in and outside of the fueled up boy as his veins throbbed and peck through his neck.

Her breath automatically hitches as she didn't had the enough time to gather oxygen in her now squeeze tightly lungs because of him unprovoked choking her that pops out from nowhere. Abyss. Her mind is now floating again from abyss as her vision is slowly getting to see some white little dots due to the lack of oxygen supplying her already tired body and system. She grip his hand that is squeezing the hell out of her for her dear life as he holds the most scary stare.

But both of their breathes knocks off when sparkles of red and gold explodes from the thin air as soon as the clock strikes to 12:00 am now officially the two heated up people turning 21 (Meigui) and 20 (Renjun). And everything sinks down their system as so as the other people in the room who witnessed the scenery.

Red and gold sparkles is now spread around the whole room its twinkles making the once dark room become alive and light as it smells new life and fated love. A red light of string wrapping around each other's ring finger that travels in the air connecting to each other - they both stare at it in mixture of awe, confusion and disgust as their initial glowed orange like and slowly tuns into a black one it being finally tattooed on their ring finger.

HRJ in Meigui's ring finger and ZMG in Renjun's ring finger - it only confirms one thing:

“Wait! You two are soulmates!—”

“No.” they said in unison as their eyes meet each other once again and then they see it swirling with the same red and gold color from earlier.

“What do you mean no? everyone saw it!- I saw it right infront of my eyes for the very first time in my life and now I can confirm that the soulmate thingy is true hyung” Jisung excitedly rambles as he jumps a bit his finger pointing at the two repeatedly back to himself, the other members agreeing to the youngest assumption and conclusion to the event that occurred earlier.

A mocking breathy laugh escaped his lips as he stared from Jisung to his soulmate who's busy looking at her initials now tattooed permanently in his skin with her eyes having too much awe and bewilderment upon them.

“I don't need a soulmate Jisung specially if Wonhang's daughter is it” he spat too harshly making the girl body's jolts up breaking her trance of staring in his ring finger - she would lie if it didn't hurt her even a bit.

“C'mon y'all can't resist each other even you want to because you're like puzzle pieces you know? you're made to fit each other because the universe said so-”

“I never let anyone say anything to me, I don't give a damn even it's the universe or some goddamn children's story character said so”
