CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE
ride or die

The sun had already sunken down behind the skyscrapers that stood almighty below the same cliff where they are always hanging out every time that it slowly turns out to be their meeting place - a place where they use to go whenever: they had another big quarrel, they can't sleep, where Renjun will go to meet Meigui after the mission, plainly stargazing, to have a break away from Haechan having a voice contest with Chenle or just to make out under the stars that blankets the dark canvas adding light to it.

It is already dark and the lights coming from the passing transportations dashing through the road and the lights from the buildings designed the scenery sitting below them casually ethereal on its own but the two soulmates- lovers, stares is locked to the blinking and twinkling dead rocks above them looming them as a big celestial object does the same thing as the stars. His jacket is laying on the ground where they decided to lay on with a basket of foods they bought in a near local convenient store.

“What do you want to do in the future? What's your plan with your life with... me? Like you know what I'm saying is that it's already been three months since we've been in a relationship and about six months since we first ever share a contact making us soulmates” Meigui breaks the comfortable silent lingering between the two of them that caught the boy's attention making him hums to say that he is thinking about it while still looking up the stars.

“Six months? We became enemies to lovers in a span of half of a year, damn we are literally living a dream of a teenager who goes in the name of ne0tan with they addiction to enemies to lovers trope because she wants to be loved despite of showing they darkest side and kinda bad attitude- hmm I think I want to have children with you like the same amount of stars in the sky” Renjun answers making the older Chinese sits up upon hearing the last sentence.

“Bitch are you seriously out of your mind?! Children in a same amount of stars?- that's pure bullshit that's not even close to possible-”

“Oh darling, try me.” he suddenly teased whilst raising his brows up and down making the girl hit his arm in an instinct earning a whining welp from the boy.

“No but seriously if you want kids with me then I'm okay with that but just don't umm go over the number of two or three I guess because lemme tell you this, I. am. not. a. cat. nor. a. dog. nor. a. pig to have that plenty of babies. I know that you're financially stable making you able to support a lot of kids but if you want kids and your a mafia leader- aren't you concerned about their safety? I'm saying this because I'm a daughter of a mafia founder” that sudden question lingers in his head for too long that he forgot to answer his soulmate.

“Look love, I'm not telling you to quit and leave dream and nct I'm just asking about your concern about a certain topic you want to do or achieve in the future with me, please don't misunderstand” Meigui clears up her own question since she can clearly feel the pang of overwhelming feeling in her chest that obviously comes from the boy who's eyes swirling with confusion and sadness with the thought of leaving the life he use to be in.

Renjun really understand where she is coming from because she clearly doesn't want their future kids to be in the same path as she used to be - first of all is the plans of other mafia groups of killing her and one of it is their group, second is the lack of safety despite of being surrounded by well trained people and the main thing is a emotionally absent father because of he is emotionally unavailable due to his attention being 100% dedicated to strengthening his empire that resulted to daddy issues.
