CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX
broken pieces of a art

Fingers scrolling in the screen of her cellphone, nails making a little sound when it make a contact with the screen as she types a whole ass essay arguing with a random people in the internet she casually sits in the black comfortable swevil chair of Mark while her feet is rested in the brown oak table infront of her, chilling inside the new office of Cherry High. Her free hand dangles in the arm rest of the chair as its fingers holds a lighted up cigarette then putting it between her lips to inhale the chemicals in the white stick.

It's already been four days since she walks away from the boy's embrace to live her taken life to the fullest under the supervision of her friend  - her first friend either since her father ordered her to don't make friends with anybody since they'll just take advantage of your social life status well he is right though but also according to that order he also said that she needs to befriend sons or daughters of their partners to secure the partnership.

Be a fake and plastic friend in conclusion of his long ass order.

Just like the first time they had a lack of soulmate contact or interaction. She fell weak, terrible and dancing once again with death but it's all now because of her not him - now she is the one who pushed him away for the first time, the one who's causing the pain between them. A big part of her tells her that he deserves to be in the same path she took before but the other side tells it is too childish and she is just hurting herself.

But the big part of her quoted: I am fine to die because I did it to myself and not because someone did it to me, promise I'm not suicidal but I think it goes in the same way.

Burning temperature of her body, cracked dry lips, trembling fingers down to her limbs, lifeless eyes, heavy frantic breathing, bloodshot eyes and messy hair that looks like a bird nest hiding behind her dolled up face she spent time to perfect, flowy but fitted in the torso area purple string dress and red painted nails. Atleast she's going to die beautiful.

“You fucking pussy shitty asshole hiding behind a cartoon character's picture don't push me further because I'm gonna-” her triggered and harsh voice stop when the office door suddenly opened making her furrow her already knitted brows after seeing two shadows displayed in the maroon carpet of the room as the two said figures is talking about something that came out hushed.

Meigui's eyes swirls in the mixtures of red, violet, gold, green and yellow that means: red = love or anger, violet = discomfort or fear or frustration, gold = liveliness or extreme joy, green = envy or jealousy and yellow = happiness or contentment or excitement. Eyes changing in color or swirling with a distinct color only happens due to the burst of raging emotions inside the person with a soulmate also it happens after a long time of no soulmate contact but also prove that you have a strong bond with your soulmate.

When the tainted mirror door of the said room finally reveals the owner of the shadow, Huang Renjun. Just like the bewildered girl he is in a not good state as his features shows it: unnatural pale skin, pinkish lips turns into a violet hued one, messy bed hair that are now dyed in a blonde one and his natural unlively eyes pierced deep down in her as if it is trying to read her soul as the eyes is the window of our soul.

“Huang-”

The girl didn't get to finish her sentence when the said boy strides towards his direction with his hooded eyes still locked with her bloodshot ones. Her breath hitch as he forcefully punch the wooden table with his left hand creating a loud thud and a small crack from his knuckles with few new slits starting to ooze out blood while his free right hand graps get right shoulder digging his fingers in the exposed skin automatically healing the both of them.

Along side with that they successfully made a soulmate contact after four days straight filling their chest with comfortableness and unwanted joy spreading inside like blazing fire coming from their once cold and dead heart that causes a whole wildfire in their system shutting each senses as they could not feel nothing but heat of a unknown source. Nevertheless they feel alive once again.

“Mei.” his words come out soft and broken as it swirls deep down her spine causing it to shiver. His words made her feel all of the bubble up emotions wanting to burst inside him - hidden emotions that make him feel sick in his stomach because they're too toxic like a venom paining his poor wounded soul wanting to be healed.

That nickname. That certain nickname the latter gave him a months ago didn't fails to betray her as it makes her heart lurch up the clear starless canvas of the sky accompanied with the looming figure of the bright celestial body getting it's light from the sun as it do its duty - to light and guide broken souls towards each other, to mean each other, to finally find their way back home where they belong.

“I fucking miss you so much do you know that? I feel so so sick not because of the lack of soulmate contact but the lack of your presence annoying me to the core, I miss everything about you even if you infatuate me I miss it I'm losing my mind without you by my side and I'm so sorry for all the shits I've caused you but please- don't leave me I'm begging you, stay by my side” Renjun's tears finally springs out of his eyes as he sniffs and sobs in each word he says.

Her expression soften at his words, her eyes staring in his eyes searching for any hint of emotional manipulation or lied laying hiding inside of it yet she found none. Instead, she sees his darker insides that are wanting to be shed by a warm comforting light - it seeks help and wants to be rescued. Who would've thought that behind a dark loomy eyes hides a deep and darker helpless soul? No one. No one had thought.

“Please don't throw me away- neglect me like they did. You're the only one I have I know I don't deserve you but please stay with me... don't- don't judge me like they always use to do, let yourself hear my side for fucks  sake! I don't need or want a physical healing from you Mei, I need a emotional healing- a soul healing!” the boy begs once more, his voice resonating in the four cornered room as it is laced with desperation.

“Huang, I'm not a fucking therapist- How can I help you when I'm also broken myself!” Meigui finally speaks those words itching to be free right from the start he started talking, it's too overwhelming for the girl that it unintentionally puts a pressure and weight in her shoulders as his hand still grips on it tightly as if his life depends on it, as if he'll crumble once he let go, as if she'll disappear again.

“Mei, I know we're both broken but trust me when I say that we can collect each other's pieces one by one to create something beautiful out of our ruined ones. We're soulmates for a reason and it is meant for us to heal each other souls, now it'll not be only one of us benefiting but the two of us will. I want to be your soulmate fully but how can I do that if my soul is broken you on the other hand is in the same as mines” Renjun speaks slowly as he stares at her eyes.

It feels like something sparks between the two souls making the room burst with the glitters of red and gold falls in the furnitures of the room like the falling rain out of the grey skies outside, their tears falling down their cheeks like the raindrops in the window while their heart thumps in the same beat as the rain. Their eyes made up constellations out from their galaxy.
