She grabbed me by the wrist and pulled me towards her.
“Stop trying to run away. There’s no escape!” she told me.
“Leave me alone!” I screamed at her, pulling away from her as hard as I could.
She ignored me and dragged me away, towards the other end of the corridor. I tried to pull away from her as hard as I could but she wouldn’t let me. I continued to tug and pull until I got so fed up that I just stopped trying. I relaxed my arm for a few seconds and let her pull me away. When I was sure that she was relaxed, I gave a huge pull and managed to slip my arm out of her wrist and run away.
“Hey!,” she screamed at me, “Stop!”.
But it was no use. I was almost half-way down the corridor by the time she began running after me. I smiled, not daring to look back that time. I was too certain she’d catch me if I did.
I ran into the cinema, shutting the door behind me. It was a nicely furnished, spacious room with a television and several seats at the front of it. There were two lights, one on each side of the room, making the room bright and easy to see. I was sure that it was about 10:00 a.m at that time as I could see the sun shining from the window.
I decided to look around the room and try to see if I could find my next “hidden family member”. But where could I look? There was no place to hide in here.
I walked around the room for a few minutes, unsure about what to do next.
Just then I heard a noise, someone talking. It sounded just like my dad.
I turned around to see the giant T.V screen lit up, playing a film, which my father seemed to be the star of.
Alright, this was really weird.
It looked like he was bashing the screen, trying to get out. How was I supposed to get him out of there?
I thought and thought about to get him out of the T.V screen.
And then the thought hit me.
I’d have to stop the film.
I walked around the room in search of the projector, to see if I could stop the film from playing. I wasn’t sure how it would happen, but I was sure it would.
Unfortunately, I didn’t find anything. That was until I saw a beam of light, shining in my direction. I walked over, my eyes squinting due to the light shining right in my eyes. I pushed my hands in front of me, trying to block it. I walked and walked until finally, my hands felt something. It was cold and smooth, and I was sure that it was exactly what I was looking for.
I looked over my shoulder to see the screen before moving over and trying to break the projector. My plan failed so I gave up and pulled the projector off the wall and smashing it on the ground. I waited for several moments but nothing happened.
Eventually, the thought occurred to me that perhaps I had just accidentally trapped my father in there, forever.
I didn’t have much time to think about that because just seconds later, I heard loud banging on the cinema door.
“Great.” I whispered to myself. What was I supposed to do now?
I took a deep breath and walked over to the door very slowly. I had almost reached it when something most peculiar happened.
***
The lady in the long black dress frowned, pulled the dice from her drawer and tossed them over her map. They fell and landed right over the cinema, making a loud clicking noise on the hard table as they did so.
The lady grinned and turned away, satisfied with the work that she’d done and walked out of the room, not bothering to look behind her.

I hesitated, breathing in and out for a few moments, and then slowly turned around to see who was standing behind me.
And to my surprise, it was my father who was the one standing right behind me!
I froze in shock for a moment and then ran over him to give him a hug.
“T-thank goodness you’re okay! I thought I’d never see you again!” I cried out.
“Well, I’m here now aren’t I?,” he said happily. “I say, what’s that loud banging sound?”
“It’s kind of hard to explain. Let me handle it and you just go over there and sit down, please.” I said pointing to the far right corner of the room.
My father said nothing but nodded his head and followed my instructions without questioning me.
That’s not like him. I thought to myself. He’d usually be drowning me in questions, wanting to find out what was going on and if and how he could help.
Whatever. I thought. He’s probably too tired to argue with me.
So I turned around, faced the door and walked over to it. Then, all I had to do was find out a way to get rid of the lady at the other side of the door.
