Lu Keran can't keep that cute neighbor of hers out of her mind.

She sees her everywhere in her sleep and her daydreams. She remembers that precious laugh and that eye smile. She remembers those soft hands that she shook out of courtesy. It's not like this was the only interaction they had either. Lin Fan would wave and say hi every time she saw Keran sitting on her porch, and Keran would greet her as well.

Keran considers this whole set up a win-win situation. She gets to sleep uninterrupted by phone calls and enjoy looking at this gorgeous girl called Lin Fan in the farm right next door.

I must thank Yuxin later, she smiled as she thought to herself. Not only did she get me a vacay, but also a future girlfriend.

Yes, it's only been a few days since she got here, but Keran plans to court Lin Fan. She knows the girl is gay: the giant pride flag hanging from her lawn and her pride shoes prove this. And she knows that a cool, hot, and rich CEO like her would definitely swoon Lin Fan off her feet.

And maybe she is not wrong.

Recently, someone (ahem, ahem) has been leaving baskets of potatoes on her doorstep. Every time Keran picks them up, she hears movement in the bushes. Whenever she turns around to find out who it is, she would see those cute pride shoes sticking out awkwardly. She would then have to swallow her laugh and take the potatoes inside.

And that is how Keran ended up with one hundred potatoes in her country house cellar.

Keran will not eat those potatoes. Her taste buds won't allow it. She just couldn't stand the starchy ball of umami it turns into once she chews it. It's not like she hates potatoes so much she'll die if she tastes them, though. If absolutely no food was available, she would eat potatoes for survival.

But the girl she likes runs a potato farm. So, she has to pretend she likes her little gifts. Besides, Lin Fan can't be that into potatoes, right?

Or so she thought.

It was one fine morning when Keran decided to play around with Lin Fan. As usual, she opened up her windows and pretended to take in a breath of fresh air while in her underwear. Of course, she noticed Lin Fan oogling at her from her farm, but she pretended she didn't see the cutely gushing potato farmer. And then she left, so cool and aloof, to go wash up.

Lin Fan, Lin Fan, she smirked to herself in the shower. I'm going to play a little game with you today. Let's see if I can catch you leave those potatoes on my porch.

After taking a shower, she went down to make herself some toast and a cup of herbal tea. Of course, she had to do this quickly. If she's going to catch the sneaky little potato farmer, she has to be at least ten steps ahead of her. Toast in hand, Keran walked to the door and looked into the peephole. There was no sign of Lin Fan yet. Keran chewed on the toast and swallowed.

Where is she? she thought.

Just as she was finishing up, she saw Lin Fan tiptoeing across the lawn with a little basket of potatoes.

Well, if it isn't cutie-patootie, she smiled cheekily to herself and opened the door.

And there she was, Lin Fan the sneakily little potato farmer, placing the basket of potatoes on her porch.

"Oh, so it is you," Keran coolly said, maintaining an aloof aura.

"W-What do you mean?" Lin Fan stuttered, hands shaking.

"It's you who's been leaving all these potatoes on my porch right?" Keran walked over to her.

"Um, no?" Lin Fan lied through her teeth.
