Friendships Night

I was waiting in my room for my best friend Liana who hadn't arrived yet, that's after an hour. There was a ring on the door of the house and I just knew that it was Liana.

I waited as I heard someone climb the stairs and then opened the door of my room. "Hey girlfriend." Liana said as she pulled the table near the couch towards the bed and kept a white cover on it. "Hey!" I said blankly. "What’s wrong with you?" Li asked me eyeing me up and down. "Nothing much, I'm just very bored." I replied shortly and then smiled at her. She bowed down, “I’m always at your service madam.” She said making me laugh. She stood up and pouted, “That wasn’t funny. So which movie are we watching first?” She asked. I wriggled my eyebrows smiling at her and she smiled back before we said, “Bride War” together and then laughed.

That is our first favorite movie because it’s a story of two friends whose weeding dates clash due to a misunderstanding and they come at war. We love this movie cause it’s based on friendship, love and what gets friends closer, fights.

She went towards the CD player and put on the movie. She picked up the white cover from the table and then looked at me giving me a smile and then taking out two big tub of Ben and Jerry’s Chocolate ice cream which made my mouth water. “I love you.” I shouted opening up my arms. She kept the tubs on a table and was coming to me to give me a hug and I said, “Even though I would love getting those tubs near me before we hug.”

She rolled her eyes and went back to the table to pick them up and got it to me then hugged me. She flopped down on my bed waiting for me to press the play button which I didn’t. She looked at me and asked, “Why aren’t you starting the movie?” I pointed up and she looked at the lights. “You didn’t switch those off.” I said to which she replied, “You can go and do that.” And then realized what she had done. “I’m sorry.” she said, “I shouldn’t have said it.” Then turned to look at me with an ‘I’m really sorry’ expression on her face. “From when do we need a sorry and a thank you in our conversations?” I said then smiling at her. She smiled and got up from the bed and went towards the switches to switch of the lights. She came back and sat on the bed again,moving inwards and folding her legs.

We opened our ice creams and as our childhood custom gave each other the first bite. I know, I know weird custom but I never said that we were normal.

We saw the movie while eating our so damn yummmmmm chocolate ice creams and laughing at the pranks Emma and Liv were playing on each other to spoil the others wedding.

When the movie got over I looked at Liana who was looking at me and smiling pointing towards the tub and telling, “Mine just got over.” To which I smiled and replied, “But I still have a last one.” She sent me a stare and then put her spoon inside my tub taking the last bite and putting it in her mouth before I could stop her. I gave her a glare and she said, “Oppppsssss!!!!!!! It just got over.” I tried to look angry only to start laughing due to the funny faces she was making.

“Ok what’s the next one we are watching?” I asked finally after stopping my laughter. “Let me see what else is there to watch.” She said getting up from the bed and going to the CD rack. She went through some of the CD’s before looking at me and showing me a CD named, ‘Music and Lyrics’ I smiled and said, “Bring it on.”

We watched the movie and finally got bored of watching movie and doing nothing else so decided to sit and talk a little. Basically only Liana was sitting and I was lying on the bed with my head resting on her lap.

We talked about everything present under the sun and finally came to the topic, ‘Austen’ cause all of a sudden I asked her the question, “Why don’t you like Austen?” she looked surprised and then begun to answer, “It’s not that I don’t like him. I really do like him because you’re happy with him, he makes you happy and that’s what I really care about. I am just irritated cause he always stays around you and gives you no time to hangout with me.” I smiled at her in an understanding way and said, “Wait till he proposes to you sweetheart and then we’ll see if you miss me.” I said teasing her and she blushed. “Awwwwwww……… I just wish he was here to see you like that, blushing like a phycho.” And she blushed even more and replied, “Shut up!” slapping on my cheeks slightly in a playful way.
