*2 months later*

Another gloomy day for me. Today is my parents' death anniversary, but aside from me and my dad, Satoru, no one else knew.

Our training went on as usual. Suddenly, the Kyoto students arrived to pay a visit.

"Y/N!" Miwa exclaimed and hugged me.

"Hi, I miss you!" I replied.

Miwa and I got close after the goodwill event. I honestly like her because she is so kind. She even said that she idolizes my dad to the point that she asked for a picture with him because of how great he is as a sorcerer.

"It's good to see you again, Inumaki-san," I heard Nishimiya-san's voice.

I looked at my left side and saw that Toge just smiled and bowed slightly before going in my direction.

"I think you forgot about today. We will have joint training with them," he said as soon as he was beside me.

"Ah yeah! I forgot about that," I told him while laughing awkwardly.

He stared at me for a while before sighing.

"You've been acting strangely for a week now."

I was about to answer him when Maki-senpai suddenly speak.

"We already informed all of you about today. But since Shoko-sensei is not around, Yuta will heal your injuries."

"Eh? Why me? I don't want," Yuta-senpai said.

"Staying overseas really changed you, Yuta," Panda-senpai said.

I saw Maki-senpai's brows furrowed. Before they start fighting again, I raised my hand to catch their attention.

"If it's okay with all of you, I'll do it," I said.

"Oh? I didn't know you know how to use reversed healing cursed technique," Toge said.

"Are we really going to trust our lives with this first year?" Mai-san commented while looking at me and raising her eyebrows

I sighed then closed my eyes because of irritation.

"Then I'll give you a demonstration."

I asked Yuji if I can shot him with an arrow so I can heal him afterward. When he said yes, I started forming a bow and arrow.

"Yuji, I'm sorry," I said before releasing the arrow and shooting his right shoulder.

I heard him whimper because of pain. I immediately went to him and put my palm on his wound. After a few seconds, I removed it and saw that the wound disappeared.

I faced everyone again.

"Is that enough? Or do you want me to try it for you?" I said, looking directly at Mai-san.

She just rolled her eyes and then started whispering to Nishimiya-san.

"Okay, that's enough," Maki-senpai interrupted.

The training is going smoothly. I am just sitting under the tree, watching everyone in case that they need an immediate response.

From the corner of my eyes, I saw Mai-san walking towards me.

"Let's have a sparring," she said.

I stood up, thinking if it is a good idea to spar with her. I roamed my eyes to look at everyone, and when I saw them doing alright, I nodded to Mai-san.

Five minutes after we started doing hand-to-hand combat, she suddenly spoke.

"You know, I think that Momo is really compatible with Inumaki-san more than you."

I smiled at her, not minding what she said.

"Nobara was right. You are really different from Maki-senpai," I commented.

"Stop comparing me with that idiot Maki. She's the most annoying bitch I know!"

"Mai-san, I hope you will stop saying bad things about your sister. She's still your family."

"Speaking of family, I found out that your family died in the hands of cursed spirits. What a tragic past you had. I bet you are weak like them," she said while laughing.

At that moment, my mind went blank. The emotions that I am bottling for the whole week suddenly burst.

My cursed energy is all over the place. I lost my control, not minding if someone will get caught. I only came back to my senses when someone yelled.

"Y/N, stop!" I heard Toge's voice.

I snapped back to reality and started looking around me. The ground where I am standing was excavated, forming a large crater.

"I'm sorry," I said and started running towards the dorm.

I was about to close the door of my room when Toge suddenly appeared. He looks... mad.

"Why did you do that?" He asked.

I didn't respond as tears started to form in my eyes. I had no intention of doing that, but I lost control when Mai-san started ridiculing my parents.

"I thought I knew everything about you already. As time passes by, you are becoming someone whom I don't really get."

I looked at him, surprised by what he said. I don't like where this conversation is going.

"Toge, please," I said with a shaky voice.

"We are dating for six months now, Y/N. And I am learning new things about you just recently. I had to guess what you feel every day. Why can't you just be open with what you feel?"

I didn't speak. I can't find the right words to say.

"I'm sorry. Maybe we should take a cool off," he said.

"No! No, please. I'm sorry. Please, don't break up with me," I begged.

"We won't break up, Y/N. I'm just going to give you space. And maybe because I'm a little bit tired too."

"But you promised me you wouldn't get tired of me no matter what! You promised that you would accept me for who I am," I shouted while crying.

He was taken aback by what I said. His eyes widened, finally realizing what he just said. He tried holding me, but I stepped back.

"Get out," I said.

He was calling my name, but I cut him.

"I said, get out!"
