*~*Emma*~*

The next morning, I got the text from the team's dealership that they had the cars ready for the guys. They were going to deliver them to the apartments at 10 AM. The clock told me it was 830 so I hustled to get ready. November in Anaheim still meant we were in warmish weather, so I put on a blue tank dress, my white sweater and some booties. I left my hair in waves and did some simple makeup. I used to do the max every time I went out because Alex always thought we should look our best when we went out. But my rebellion since he left was to be comfortable. Hockey royalty or not, I'm still me.

I got to the apartments about 10 minutes before the cars got there. My phone buzzed.

Unknown number: Hey doll. Its Bucky. Sorry I didn't text sooner. I unpacked and passed out last night. We still on for coffee?

Well now I knew why he didn't text last night. I can forgive. I forgot he was still on East Coast time.

Emma: Hey, yeah, we're still on. I'm actually downstairs waiting for your guys' cars.

Unknow number changed to Bucky

Bucky: really? What kind did you get us?

Emma: you have to wait until I give you keys.

Bucky: Nah, I'll be right down.

Five minutes later, a refreshed looking Bucky appeared with a grumpy looking Steve. I had to laugh. "Good morning Bucky, Steve? Rough night?"

"I left the blinds open, and I have the east facing room," Steve grumbled.

I burst out laughing along with Bucky. "Sorry Steve," I managed to say. "I should have warned you that the sun is no joke in California."

As I was finally able to breathe, the dealership truck pulled up with two black Lexus 350s. "Surprise!" I said.

"Really? We get these?" Bucky sounded surprised.

"Well, yeah, you can buy them if you like but they are on lease for the next year. Or until you get your own car. Perk of moving cross country." I shrugged. I went to deal with the paperwork and get the keys.

"Here you go," as I handed a set to Bucky. "One for you and one for Steve. You guys get to share for now. I've got to get these two to the twins."

"Twins?" Bucky asked.

"Trev and Jamie. They are babies, like twins." I smiled. "It works to keep the apartments straight."

"You're funny, doll. Let's go."

I got upstairs and handed off the keys and reminded the boys that they needed to be at the arena at 3. Steve went back into his apartment and promised to grab Bucky's bag for the game.

"All right super star, did you want your standard Starbucks or somewhere slower paced," I asked.

"Slow paced. Starbucks can be done anytime."

"All right, let's go. You drive, I'll tell you where to go. You need to get used to driving in the OC." I handed my car keys to him.

"OC?" He asked.

"Orange County. That's the county we're in. Hang a left."

I took him to this coffee shop/ bookstore in the Orange Circle. It was one of my favorite places to go to get away from hockey. It was right next to the university and on a Thursday, it was pretty quiet since classes were in session. I went to order and pay but Bucky insisted on paying. We sat down with our drinks.
