Niall had left a few minutes after he kissed me and I was still in a daze. What was he doing to me? I could have turned into a fangirl on the spot.
But anyway, a few hours later he called me after he was done packing. Apparently, Niall had told the boys that he had asked me out because they kept teasing him about talking to his girlfriend for too long... I was going to smack them the next time I saw them.... which would probably in a few months. *sad face*
"I'm going to miss you, Ni." I said into my phone, sadness fringing my voice.
"I'm gonna miss you, too, Firefly." I heard him say. I smiled when I heard the boys taunt him about the nickname and ask where it came from. Niall yelled at them, but I could hear the amusement in his voice.
I laughed, "Go get some sleep before your flight." I ordered.
"I don't want to, I wanna talk to you." He whined childishly.
"Don't make me sick Liam on you." I threatened playfully.
"You use that threat alot, don't you?" He asked, sounding defeated.
"It works, doesn't it?" I asked rhetorically.
"Yeah, I guess it does..." He trailed off.
"Ha! So that means you're going to go sleep now?" I challenged. All I heard were a few garbled responses. I sighed, "Go to sleep or I'm hanging up." I threatened seriously.
"Okay, okay! Night, Firefly, I'll call you when I can." Niall said.
I smiled, "Night, Nialler. I'll miss you guys!" I said. We hung up and my nurse walked in.
"You okay, Phoenix?" She asked. I nodded.
"You have a visitor, if you would like to see her." She said. Confusion filled me, but I still nodded.
I all but had a heart attack when Bunny, my older sister, walked in. My eyes narrowed at her, "What are you doing here?" I asked, hatred in my voice.
"I'm here to see how you're doing, of course." She said, sitting down on the chair next to my bed.
"Why do you even care? You tormented me until you people made me leave, then you shipped me to London just to get me out of the country." I said, anger filling my voice.
"Because you're still my little sister. I only tormented you because Dad was around. I really did miss you when you were gone." She said.
What she said was kind of true... she was really nice to me whenever no one was around. She actually acted like an older sister, "But still, why did you come here? The old man would eat you alive if he knew you were here. Literally." I said, calming down.
"He thinks that I'm out shopping for more clothes. I wanted to come see you because I felt bad about what happened. I know that you're not allowed to be in the city, but hey, everyone likes a rebel. And when you get out of here whenever, I want to take you shopping." She said.
"Bunny, I can't. When I get out of here, I have to go straight back to the guys. I'm going to surprise them." I said, my lips twitching with a smile.
"Wait, who are you staying with?" She asked, curious.
I moved my hand slowly, wincing with pain, and grabbed my phone. I flipped to a picture of the boys and turned my phone to face her, "Them." I said, my smile breaking through. She grabbed my phone forcefully and looked like she was going to freak out.
"You're living with One Direction?" She squealed quietly. I must add she is 23.
"Ya know, even though you live in a complex with 15 foot walls around it and no internet, I should've known you'd find out about them." I laughed, wincing when a whip of pain shot through my back.
Guilt filled her eyes, "I'm really sorry they did that. You don't know how bad Mo felt after he did that to you. He was so angry at himself." She said, putting my phone on my nightstand and grabbing my hand, "How long have you been with the boys?" She asked, tactifully changing the subject.
"About 7 months now. They've really helped me alot." I said.
A knowing look covered her face, "I feel like there might be a certain boy there that has helped you alot." She said with a sly smile.
I smiled, "Why should I tell you any of this?"
"Because you're my little sister, and that's what little sisters do." She laughed.
"How is it that you can walk in here with me hating you and you can make me not hate you?" I asked, letting out a sigh.
"Its the bunny in me, I guess. I'm too cute for my own good." She said, laughing.
I took my hand from hers and patted it, "You just keep thinkin that, Fuzzy." I retorted.
We talked for another few hours before she had to leave, "I have to leave and do some real shopping so Dad doesn't get suspicious... and I need some new clothes. I haven't bought any in a few weeks." She said, grabbing her purse and kissing the top of my head. Right before she left, she put her phone number in my phone under "Big S". I laughed when I saw that.
"Get some rest, Feathers. I'll be back in here as soon as possible to see you, kiddo, I promise." She said, walking out, leaving me alone again. I wanted to text Niall and tell him, but he was probably on the plane to L.A. with the boys. I wanted to text him so bad, but I had to wait for him to call me.
I heard a knock against the wall beside the door and looked up. It was my Doctor, "Hey, Nix, its time to change your bandages." She said.
"Okay." I replied.
She helped me sit up and take the old bandages off. My wounds were horrible, the worst I had received so far. Especially the bite wound from Father, he shredded my skin and probably the skin on my back, "How's my shoulder?" I asked her.
"Well, it's lookin' pretty good right now, but I don't know if you'll ever be able to move it right again. Your muscles and tendons were ripped to shreds, but they'll hopefully heal in time. It'll take a few months to see what happens. Let's just hope that you heal fast." She said, wrapping my chest and shoulder in bandages.
"I really appreciate all you're doing, Doc. I really do." I said with a smile.
I saw her smile out of the corner of my eye. She finished wrapping the bandages around me and helped me lean back, "You get some rest, Doll." She said, patting my hand and walking out.
I had nothing else to do, and it only took a few minutes for my mind to fade into the welcoming folds of nothingness to erase the pain of missing Niall and my boys and the pain of my injuries.
I wanted Niall back with me, but that wasn't going to happen for a few months.
I'd just have to deal with that.
