Waking up to the boys the first time around made me feel so relieved, but when they asked me about.... basically everything, my spirit fought me and I got overwhelmed, shutting me down just because of a question that flustered me and worried my spirit.

Now that I was waking up for a second time, I just couldn't help but worry if the boys were there or if I was alone in the hospital. Not that I had a problem with the boys leaving me alone. When they left me alone, it was when I couldn't sleep all night because of a nightmare and they wanted to give me time to sleep. I probably would have been better off if Niall or one of the boys were there when I needed them, but I didn't want to bother them with petty issues like that.

I opened my eyes, being met with the same looks of the hospital room as before. White walls, curtains on the huge window drawn to keep all the light out. The only difference was that only 1 chair out of the 5 were filled. Of course it was Niall. I looked at him at saw that he was sleeping, resting his head on the mattress and gripping my right hand, the one without a cast, in his. He must not of gotten much sleep through the time that I was sleeping; he had bags under his eyes and his face was paler than usual.

I let Niall sleep, of course. If he was tired, I wasn't going to wake him up. I sat there for awhile, just thinking of when the boys had to leave the city and I had to stay here. I didn't know how long I was going to be staying here in the hospital, but I knew that I wouldn't be seeing the boys for awhile. A few months at the least.

I was interupted from my thoughts when I felt Niall stir. He sat up and rubbed the sleep out of his eyes. He looked up at me and smiled, relief and happiness his only expression, "You're awake." He said gently.

"Last I noticed, yeah." I said cheekily. He laughed and laced his fingers through mine, "Now why didn't you get any sleep, Leprechaun?" I asked, referring to the bags under his eyes. He sighed and pressed the back of my hand to his lips, our fingers still tangled.

"I was too worried about you, Little Bird. It's been almost a day since you fell asleep last. Your doctor  said you were fine, but I still couldn't help but worry." He said, closing his eyes.

"I'm sorry for worrying you, Niall." I said. I felt bad now... it was my fault that Niall didn't get any sleep.

His eyes snapped open to meet mine, "Don't be sorry, Love. You needed the rest." He said, smiling at me, laying our hands back on the bed.

"Yeah, so do you." I said, "You look horrible." I said giving a small smile.

"Well, I couldn't help but worry about you. I don't think you understand how worried I was when you disappeared. I never thought I would get to see you again. Your sparkling eyes, your adorable smile. I thought I would never see you again." He said quietly, blushing when he realized he said it out loud. He refused to meet my eyes until I took my hand reluclantly from his and put it on his cheek,

"I think I understand more than you think." I said, blushing. His eyes shot to mine. The ocean blue meeting the sun-like gold.

Everything else around me clouded, Niall and I were the only ones in the world at that moment. He leaned towards me, his lips centimeters before they reached mine.... and his phone rang. He swore and I felt his warm breath on my lips. I sighed when he leaned back into his seat and answered his phone.

"Hello?" I could hear the conversation... heightened senses, remember?

"Hey Niall, we were just calling to see how Phoenix was doing."  Of course it was Liam.

"She's fine, she actually just woke up. Shouldn't you boys be at an interview right now?" He asked. Niall put his phone on speaker.

"We're there now, you guys are actually on air right now. We just wanted everyone to hear that Phoenix is ok." Louis said.

"What's this about being on air, boys?" I asked, butting into the conversation.

"Phoenix!" They yelled into the phone, "Phoenix, can we ask you a few questions?" I heard some other guy ask. He was probably an interviewer.

"Knock your socks off." I said. Niall looked at me, confused, "It's an American expression, Niall." I said with a laugh.

I heard the boys and the interviewer laugh, "So, Phoenix, how long have you been rooming with the boys? What's it like?" The interviewer asked.

"It's been about 6 months now. It's pretty fun living with the boys, even though they're annoying sometimes." I said with a smile.

"I'm hurt, Phoenix! You think I'm annoying?" Zayn asked.

"Lets just say that you're very lucky I didn't say all the time, Malik." I said with a laugh.

"Well, you can't really say all the time because you're alone with Niall most of the time." I heard Harry say.

"You make it sound so scandalous, Haz." I said.

"So you aren't denying what Harry said? What about you Niall?" The interviewer asked.

"Phoenix and I do spend alot of time together. It's not a giant secret we keep from our fans and the world." Niall said. I agreed.

"Does that mean you two are dating, then?" The interviewer asked.

My eyes met Niall's. We were silent for a few seconds, "No, we aren't dating, but you sure just made it really awkward, dude." I said, lying of course. Niall's eyes said that we were going to talk after he hung up the phone.

Niall didn't wait for the interviewer to say anything else, "Hey, guys, we have to go. Phoenix's doctor wants to talk. We'll see you later, yeah?"

"Bye 'Nix, bye Niall!" Niall hung up and looked up at me.

"So.... that was fun." I said sarcastically.

Niall snorted and laced his fingers back through mine, "People are going to be suspicious of us, you know that right?" He said.

"People are always suspicious of us, Nialler. I remember seeing a girl on Twitter that 'totally ships Phiall or Noenix, which ever we want to name it'." I said, laughing.

"I've got a serious question for you, Phoenix." He said, humor leaving his eyes.

"Okay, shoot." I said.

"Will you go out with me?" He asked, red staining his cheeks.

Heat flashed to my cheeks for the second time the past hour, but splitting grin stretched across my face, "Yes, I'll go out with you." I said, seeing the expression of pure joy fill his eyes and set a giant smile on his face.

"Now what do we tell people?" He asked, kissing my hand.

"Whatever you want to tell them. Do you have any idea how long I'm going to be in here?" I asked him.

"It's going to suck, but a few months. I was talking to the doctor while you were asleep. You're more injured than you realize, 'Nix." He said.

"Can you tell me? What my injuries are, I mean." I said, playing with Niall's fingers.

"Concussion, broken ribs, ankle, and wrist, you were stabbed 4 times in the stomach, bitten by a huge animal, and you were whipped over 60 times. The doctors were surprise you lived, let alone woke up and was able to form a coherent conversation a day later." He said.

"They went pretty all out this time..." I trailed off.

"Phoenix, I really need you to enlighten me here. You need to tell me what happened. Explain something to me." He pleaded.

I sighed, "You promise not to tell anyone? I would be killed if anyone knew, and so would you." I said.

"I promise, Love." He vowed.

I was silent for a few minutes before I spoke.
