There was a knock at the door.
"Leave." You muffled out of the pillow that pressed against your open wound. The door opens to reveal Sam, he held a tray full of snacks and medical stuff. He rested it at the nightstand and dragged your study chair close to the bed.
"Hey." His voice was calm and soothing, it felt warm and nice. "Why don't you eat something and I'll treat that wound of yours." He placed his hand on your back to gesture you to sit up. You obey his request and start at him. His yellow eyes glowed, behind him was the window in your room. The sun was starting to peek out. Beautiful colors following before the light to make a magnificent entrance for the star that alone stood so bright. Pink, yellow, orange, all blended together to make a color close to coral.
"That looks bad. Here eat this, you were hungry weren't you?"
He pasted a bag of chips to you but you shake your head to deny the offer. Your stomach grumbles making you more irritated at how it would be a bother at the worst times. Grabbing the chips out of his hand he gives a little smirk tilting his head at the embarrassment on your face. He examines your face and the cut that went from your forehead to your cheek. It wasn't a large cut but it felt deep.He touches your eye with some gloves he place on after sanitizing them. "Ow". You wince at the pain when he tries to pierce your eye open to make sure it hadn't been affected by the blow.
"I'm sorry. Try to withstand it for a bit," he spoke. He knows about medicine through the fact that he was the son of a doctor. Stories of his amazing father, Galin, spiked a few years back. He was known as the god of medicine, and he saved many lives.
He uses some cotton that was soaked in Belciale. His black hair shimmered over his eyes and he looked so focused.
"This will help neutralize any bacteria so the wound doesn't get infected, it will also make your face feel a bit numb." He dabs the cotton slowly on your wound starting from your forehead down. You try not to move from the pain but the tingling feeling of the neutralizer stings your flesh. "I'll stitch you up but it may leave a scar. The stitches can help narrow the chances of scarring, judging by the wound I doubt it will be gone forever. It won't be that noticeable though, I hope not."
You nod and let him continue. Your eyes were closed and they tightened when the pain was almost unbearable.
"Breath slowly, deeply, stay calm, and don't think about anything." His voice put you at ease, you followed his instructions, and when you opened your eyes all you saw was him cleaning off the makeshift station. You look at the mirror in your room and stare at the stitches he had finished, it ran down far almost to your chin. It looked hideous and your mother had done that."How are you good at doctoring if you never studied it?" You asked curious about his stitching skills.
"I read my father's books on medicine. More like I was forced to since my father didn't allow me to leave the house often. He wanted me to carry the name of our ancestors that studied medicine, but I clearly didn't find much interest in the topic." He finished cleaning up the station and stood, the light from the now risen sun cast a shadow on his features. Making his yellow eyes glow. "I wanted to be a mechanic, my creativity allowed me to invent different things. Now I am a mechanic and I love my job. I get to travel around the world to help make different inventions with your mother, so rebelling against my father's will was a pretty good choice." He nodded his head in reassurance to his statement.
"Right, mother. Why did you marry her?"
The question alone struck a cord and his eyes filled with affection. "Your mother has been through tough times. Losing someone she loved, losing one of her daughters."
I'm right here.
Shut up. You spoke to her.
"I love her. She just has a lot going on. She shouldn't have treated you like that but I hope you don't hold it against her."
"I love her only for being my mother. She cared for me and held me for 9 months, I respect such dedication it takes and the challenge of pregnancy. Though what she did wasn't right I would never hold it against her as she does. I cannot accept the fact that she won't admit the truth. Sam, you know how much I hate people who don't admit their faults."
"Are you saying she was at fault?" he asked in an accusing tone. He hadn't meant it like that but it offended you.
You sigh and reply, "it wasn't her fault that my dad decided to leave her nor was it her fault she was abused. It is never the fault of the victim in situations like these, but she cannot blame me for him leaving. It's unfair if I give her a trial while she throws me into prison claiming I am guilty with no evidence. Do you understand, Sam? She needs to see the truth and I hope your the man that can do it because Manjio left her broken and you choose to take the baggage. I know you love her and she likes you too, I see it. But she is still stuck in the past. All I can ask from you is to help her."
With that, you leave the room living him to stand to comprehend the burden you placed on him. He would accept it if he had already made it far enough to marry the woman.

I wonder what everyone will think about my half-scared face. What excuse should I come up with? It's been two weeks since the first day of school and everyone is going to be suspicious of why I decided to not go and take the time off.
You stare at the scar. Sam had taken the stitches out, but it left you with somewhat of a noticeable scar, only if you were close enough. It was more noticeable from your right eyebrow down through your eye. Before it stopped at your chin but the skin repaired itself quite fast and was seamless. Other than that. You kept thinking about it over and over, what people will say.
I did the best I could. Your body heals faster than normal humans because your cells and mine are conjoined but that doesn't mean we aren't human. I still can't magically vanish the scar.
It's fine you tried your best. Thank you.
EW! Shut up with the thank you, it's so uhh. Makes me want to gag.
HEY! I'm trying to be nice for once.
If you wanna be nice then let me take over, look at the world with my own eyes.
Not happening.
You can't control me forever.
Maybe not but I can push you down far enough so you can't take over. I will never let my guard down.
Kia: -_-
I'll get you one day. ~I'll be waiting for ~ *tries to do creepy laugh but fails*
