Dangerous Desire

Chapter 28

The training ended after a long period. It was only a few weeks yet it felt forever. Katsuki was a strict trainer and you taught him the best you could. The sports festival was here, you didn't mind if you lost. Thinking you just need to do the bare minimum to pass at least.

The first game was an obstacle race. Large robots started blocking the ways, you got to see the other students in action. Shoto used his ice-freezing robots in place. Kirishima almost got crushed by the falling parts but when he finally used his quirk you felt relieved. He was friendly and you'd gotten close to him over the week. The little friend group you had made; Denki, Katsuki, Sero, Kirishima, and Mina. 

You got through too, using your blood to manipulate to strengthen your feet. Running faster than a normal human being but nothing compared to Iida and his engines. The second part was easier for you which was just running to get first place. The only ones you could see keeping pace with you were Midoriya, Todoroki, and Katsuki.

You remember Katsuki meeting you before the start saying you should try your best and not half-ass it. 

The minefield was full of mines, it was easier to spot when you moved your blood to your eyes. It didn't work. Instead, you could feel the same red flares that Kia wore. The slight sting they would bring whenever you had control overusing them. How did you have control in using them? It made it much clear to see the mine-filled ground, avoiding each one.

Your legs were about to give up, Shoto and Katsuki were in front of you but suddenly Midoriya goes flying. He used the mines to blast him past both, a smart move by him. When you saw the space between the two baffled boys, you decide to use the shock Midoriya had on them to your advantage. As they were confused you ran past than taking second place after Midoriya.

Cavalry battle was full of trouble. Your team was Shoto, Iida, Momo, and Denki. Which meant you were against Katsuki, it felt odd being his opponent but knowing him he wasn't going to go easy. Neither were you, it just added to the extra thrill. When he looked at you with his burning red eyes ready to take you out, you felt the rush into battle and crush his dreams of winning. All you could think of was seeing his face after you smacked that cocky grin he gave you.

Rather he was just rushing at Midoriya when he got on his nerves, he was ready to blow the freckled boy up. The top score for most points was Midoriya since he was the winner for the last rounds.

You wouldn't give in either, that band was yours and only yours. You were ready to win this round, you were ready to show him that he stole your spotlights but you'd get it back. Shoto froze people in place, while Iida was our engine (figuratively and literally). One minute was remaining on the clock, and Midoriya still held the crown. Your team had corned Midoriya's, though they were smart to keep at Shoto's left side- the one he doesn't dare to use. 

"Iida, give me the fastest boast you got." You said, and the glassed boy nodded. "Momo, make me a strong stick."
Katsuki's team had shown up corning your team too, the three teams facing off each other.
"Shoto," you whispered only to him. "Grab his headband." He also agreed and you explained the plan. 

Katsuki's team was on your left, while Midoriya's in front of you. The end line was close and no way for you to get through without risking going out of bound or being caught by Katsuki.

Iida takes a few steps back and both teams become alert. At your command, he turns away to face Katsuki and blasts his engines at max. The force was unexpectedly fast but you took the metal bar Momo made and dug it into the ground, forcing your team's direction to turn to Midoriya's after going in a curve. Katsuki tried reaching his hands toward you but you give a wink and smile at his speechless expression. Your hands vibrated the ground letting a screech paining the other's ears as well. You let go after shifting the direction, Shoto grabs the headband.
