Chapter 33

Souls crowded around you. Every student from 1A and Shinso who should be in his class was next to you too. 

Iida, Midoriya, and Shoto were much more injured compared to you. The only one to see the fight- no- was in the fight with a wanted villain was sure to be a hot topic. The classroom was bustling, Momo pulled on your shirt to get your attention, Mina tried grabbing your arm to get you out of the crowd that was now filled with students from different classes. Shinso tried blocking the others from getting too close with you. You snickered at the sight because it looked like a bodyguard trying to keep paparazzi away from someone famous.

Peaking over the crowd you see Katsuki staring at you. When your eyes' met he looked away letting a 'tch' out and shoving his hand into his pocket. He walked out of the classroom and you tried pushing your way out. Mina helped you out. After being released from the pack you run off towards Katsuki. Hitting your stomach on one of the desks you let out a wince. 

Where did he run off to?  You questioned. Abruptly an arm pulls you to a corner. It was Katsuki and he scared half your life away. You wanted to see him but now you stood there blankly. "K-k-"

"No."
His voice was stern like the hand that grabbed your wrist. "You will only listen to me now."
He was angry for sure. "How could you run into a battle with a villain? What if you were captured? What the hell were you thinking?!"

Shocked at the new Katsuki, you hadn't been shown this side. He was often arrogant or less arrogant. The silence eats away your thoughts as you stood unfazed. "Why didn't you...come to me... to Best Jeanist agency?" He let go of your hand, "did I do something wrong? I know I make many mistakes but please..."

His anger dissolved into sorrow. "Can you stop blaming yourself?"
That hadn't come out the way you wanted, more so you yelled it out. 
"I mean. I just didn't want to make you uncomfortable with my presence."

"How could I not blame myself? The only time of saw you was when you were in the hospital and before that you..." He hesitated. "The fog wasn't clearing and I was afraid so I tried looking closer. The blast sounded ringing into my ears and I didn't have you to stop my thoughts from consuming me there. Then I saw you...red hair, emotionless red eyes, your tear-stained face, the bruises on you, and how they took your limbless body away as if you had no life. I was terrified, how was I supposed to fight next knowing you could be dying then?!" His voice was strained and he spoke the words with sincerity. 

You stood motionless, staring at him. He looked like he wanted the ground to break open and swallow him whole after showing such vulnerability in front of you. You decide to do the unthinkable. Your arms reach for him and pull him closer, you look into his red eyes then hug him tightly. He gasps at the suddenness but doesn't resist. You can feel your shirt getting wet as you tightened your grip on his uniform and let his head rest on your shoulder.

"I couldn't stop that image... you laying there," he said trying to hide his shaky voice. "It haunted me every night, it left me restless thinking if you were alright, I don't understand why but... it was like I was suffocating." 

You run your fingers up his back to his blond hair. His hair was unbelievably soft considering how the spikes were formed. You pat his head gently knowing he was trying to clear his face before meeting your eyes. You didn't want him to feel ashamed and he didn't want you to see him emotional so you let him take his time to get himself together. 
A part of you was relieved that others were fond of you and you believed you'd be alone without Kia, rather her statement wasn't a lie and it was proven by your peers.

Not long after the final exams came in. Everyone was stressed and had formed study groups, luckily you were able to join Katsuki and Kirishima's little group. He always scolded Kirishima for getting the wrong answers and not listening properly. When you struggled with the questions Katsuki offered to give extra help after school. 

He often came over to your house and at times you'd go to his allowing you to meet his mom and dad. They were always generous to let you stay till dinner and your mom had been changing her attitude towards you. Sam brought snacks over while you studied, Kiria was back from her trip to Aunt's and looked much better. 

She changed her style a bit giving her a different view on life and her own values. Grandma stayed at Aunt's but your time had been less lonely. Elijah would be working and you and Katsuki would go to grab some things. He often when to the old man's shop to grab some spare things for his telescope while you waited for him to finish at the convenience store.

Elijah always joked about how scary and angry Katsuki always looked and you tried stopping him from harassing Katsuki behind his back. They both also showed progress in their relationship will less of an ass attitude towards one another.

After studying diligently and getting your license like everyone else, you were finally free from Katsuki's strict teachings. When you thought you could sleep peacefully after long was when Kia's memories came flowing. Crushing the spirit in your heart when you were able to physically and emotionally feel the pain Kia when through in her life.
