"What happened?" you shiver of the sudden cold rushing through the extension. "Did I just use my, I mean your quirk?" The change in time flow is different between both worlds, rather you have time to speak with Kia since time moves slow. Questions build in you as you stare at her glowing pale skin. Bleeding pearls for eyes and that long silk of crimson hair you longed for. Not a throne nor black ink were to be found like last time.

"You did use my quirk but rather you should start calling it yours."

An ache crushes your heart at the thought of taking her quirk. If it were before you wouldn't be hesitant but now it seems unreal. "I will explain what I have hidden, coming to realize that pushing problems away wouldn't help any longer."

The flow of the cold fluid under your bare feet tickles your toes as she walks closer to you. "Your mind has been poisoned. Rather, my extension to your brain has been poisoned. With no doubt, I was the targeted attack."

"What are you talking about?" Poison. Poison, in your body, affecting Kia.

"It started to take effect a while ago, rather 30 days after you were rescued from the LOV. The beginning was when you got to UA. That ball test and you losing control was not my doing. All the nerve systems were running at full speed making your quirk lose control."

You sulk remember how you hated Kia for what she did, she hid it from you till now. The fact she resisted those foul words you thought against her.

"You felt sick after that and it was a problem I could only solve by closing that..."

She points at the great gate that was the "in-between", the only way to reach the conscious mind from the unconscious was through the white in-between. Kia couldn't go through there, if she had then she could also control your conscious thoughts and actions. You were able to move freely through both but Kia was gatekeeping the unconscious mind.

The golden doors that went beyond your eyes had red art drawn to symbolize your blood quirk, the only real thing connecting you and Kia. When the gate was open Kia could communicate with you but she kept them closed to block you out of existence. That's what you believed but things started to make sense as she continued.

"Any time those doors opened you would get hurt, the poison found a way to seep into your body. I closed them to stop it, but I can't say that didn't harm me." She cupped your face, her fingers long and cool to touch. "You are too special for me. I am your sister and you are my other half. Even if I must die, I will try my best to protect you."

You push her hands off and finally speak your mind, "why?! If you cared so much why control my quirk? Why make me believe that everyone I met was to not be trusted?"

Plop.

The sound of your teardrops splashing with the fluid fills the silence. She let out a shaky sigh, one ready to let go of all that was held back once. "The barrier was only strong if my will was strong. That will is to not see you. I tried doing the things I swore to never do, only for you to come and hate me. If you hated me it would have been easier to hide. Not see you because I was fearful of those fury-filled eyes. You never hated me. Your lies were crystal clear because you never ended up hating me. My will kept getting crushed, I kept wanting to see you and just talk. Talk to someone else other than me, in this lonesome place. It would have been better if you hated me, so I could protect you."

You fist your hands at the anger from her words. Did she feel the need to protect you? And it hurt her in the end. "I never hated you," the burden collapse onto you. You look at her, your vision going red to a blur from the well of water. Your eyes kept glowing red, the same ruby red she wore. "I don't want your quirk."

"Unfortunately," she bends down and cups the fluid in her hands. The clear substance had tints of black, the same ink before. "I won't make it long." Her voice hitched, and her eyes glowed like yours. "At this moment, they are removing me."

"What!?! You mean the extension?"

"Yes." She looked so pitifully at your surprise.

"They can't do that, they didn't ask for my consent," you yelled.

"Don't forget y/n. You are only fifteen, soon to turn sixteen. Eighteen is the legal age you become an adult, you didn't want our family to know but the contract says the adults that know have the right to make decisions for treatment without your advice."

"That can't be, what would happen to you?" You ask, grabbing her abruptly shaking for her words to come out after she doesn't speak.

"I-I," she shivers. "I'd be gone, forever."

"No," you murmur to yourself. "You can't do this, please."

"I have no choice. I can't hold you back anymore, you need to move on and be free. Just imagine a world and being yourself with no one to share your body with." She stopped you from shaking her further. "My quirk will be yours, but you need to have a strong will to use my quirk. Your emotions play a big role in your powers."

You noticed when your emotions were strong, your eyes turned ruby. Kia had been preparing you to use her quirk, that was the reason for those sudden changes in your quirk.

"My memories, they will be yours soon. So when I'm gone, try your best to live on with your quirk. Help others like us, become a hero. I'm giving you my abilities because I trust you will do good with it." You slide down, wet from the fluid. Your mind goes blank with many thoughts and no thoughts at the same time. You didn't want her to leave you, she was the only one who understood you well; what it felt like sharing something personal. "You will permanently become one with me. I won't be here but I'll still be a part of you." She tried reassuring you with meaningless words. "I'm sure your hair will be crimson like you wished and your eyes will be ruby, they will glow a vibrant red that could rip a soul. The eyes you thought were terrifying but magnificent at the same time. You can have it all."

"I don't want it all," you say. Not looking up to her, shameful of your past behavior towards the only one that truly cared. "I won't have you here."

"You have Shinso, Aizawa, Yagi, recovery girl," Kia listed. "You even have Midoriya and Bakugo now. They all care deeply about you, you have the love. Just open yourself to them."

You shake your head, refusing all that. Refusing to let go of her. She grabs your face and kisses a tear away. You look up at her beauty, her hair falling perfectly framing her elegant face. "I will watch over you."
Red flares decay the right side of her face, as her tears vanish along the flying petals formed from what once used to be her flesh, her eyes, her mouth. Only half of her remained as each second the petals took more of her away from you. You grab her forearm, trying not to let go.

"My dear sister, let your life be normal with the treats you've missed because of me. I know your heart is too pure to deny you do not want to help others and be a hero. Use my quirk and make it yours." Her shoulder starts to disappear, "I will always love you...my lovely sister."

The last bits of her hands you tried holding were gone too, the petals vanished with her to only reveal a ruby stone. The stone floated as the once dark mind of yours started to light up with a blinding white tone, the color of a dove. It should be peaceful but it felt empty without her. You walked over and try grabbing the stone, an electric force stings your hand. A barrier that can only be broken with your will, if it were strong enough.
