Luna didn't waste a second to push her brother and Valkyrie inside the school. When Scott and Stiles followed, she and the former hurried to lock the door. The tension in the air was pressing on the three teenagers, knowing their lives were on the line. Not only theirs, but also Lukas and Valkyrie's.

"Lock it! Lock it!" Scott urged.

"Do I look like I have a key?" Stiles retorted.

"Grab something!"

     "What?"

"Anything—"

While the boys clutched the handlebars, Luna searched for another solution. Her eyes spotted a bolt cutter leaning against the wall outside. Stiles glanced at it too, getting the same idea as her. They shared a look and nodded at each other. Scott caught up on their thoughts.

"No," he forbade.

"Yes," they argued. It was the first time they agreed on something.

"Guys, don't—"

Stiles and Luna didn't let him add another word as the latter swiftly opened the door and they rushed outside. Lukas shouted Luna's name, but she didn't turn back. If the bolt cutters were the only way to keep him safe, she would get them.

While Stiles grabbed the tool, Luna checked their surroundings, ensuring the Alpha wasn't approaching them. She hissed at him to hurry up, keeping her tone low. Unfortunately, the Alpha had the better hearing, and a growl echoed behind them. Slowly, they turned around. The girl gasped at the creature spying on them from afar.

A faint run came from Scott. Stiles and Luna ran back to the door in agreement with his single word. The Alpha was right behind them, its main goal to kill.

"Come on, Stiles!" Luna shouted as she opened the door. Both boys grabbed each door's handles, fumbling to get both sides of the tool into the bars, a makeshift lock. Looking up again, the hallway they were in was empty. "Where the hell did it go?"

The trio slowly retreated. Luna grabbed Lukas' arm while Scott put a protective arm around Valkyrie. They stared outside, their steps growing faster and faster until they were running. Stiles motioned their history classroom with a tilt of his head. Luna slammed the door open and closed it once everyone was safe inside.

"The desk, the desk!" Stiles exclaimed, and the three boys slipped the teacher's desk toward the door. They jumped when the metal screeched against the floor. "Stop! Stop!" Stiles ordered.
