Scott McCall could have died under Luna's glare. It was harsh, and he swore her eyes shone once. Yes, it wasn't a bright idea to accuse Derek, but he didn't think she would be that mad at him.

It made him regret his lie instantly.

"Derek killed the janitor?" Jackson asked.

Allison seemed convinced but still inquired, "You're sure?"

Scott nodded and added, "I saw him."

"The mountain lion—" Lydia stuck with this idea, too scared to admit that a murderer could be after them.

Luna, despite hating Scott at the moment, cut her off gently. "No, Derek killed them. His sister was his first victim. The bus driver followed, then the video store guy. He's here with us, so we need to leave or he'll probably kill us too."

Valkyrie sunk deeper into Scott's chest, fearing for her life. Even with his brave facade, Lukas didn't appear in better shape. Luna couldn't blame him. He didn't have his Angel rune yet and had always gone on easy missions. It was one thing to be with trained Shadowhunters, but another to be a group's only protector.

Kneeling before him, Luna told him to follow her breathing pattern. The others continued to argue while she focused on her brother. Of course, the only time he could go with her, stuff like this happened.

"Lukas, I know you're scared, but you must be brave, alright?" she whispered. "It's just one werewolf. You've faced worse things before. Confía en tus runas."

Meanwhile, Jackson turned to Stiles. "Call the cops," he demanded, only to receive a dry, "No," from Stiles.

     "What do you mean no?"

"I mean no. Want to hear it in Spanish? No," Stiles retorted, making Luna roll her eyes. "Derek killed three people. We don't know what he's armed with."

"Your Dad is armed with an entire Sheriff's Department, call him," Jackson argued.

"I'm calling," Lydia decided, placing her phone against her ear.

Stiles' eyes widened as he tried to stop her. "Hold on — Lydia, just wait —" He stepped forward, only for Jackson to shove him back.

"Yes, we're at Beacon Hills High School," Lydia informed the cops. "We're trapped in here and we need you to..." She paused, and the others watched her expression change from panicked to shocked. She slowly pulled the phone away from her ear. "She hung up on me," she explained in disbelief.
