⎮Stark Tower- Saturday⎮
"When should I start getting ready?" I ask Natasha as she, Wanda, and I eat lunch in the living room. Everyone was busy today getting ready to 'intimidate my date, even Thor and Loki are staying till tomorrow to make sure I am 'properly taken care of'. The three of us were having a girl's day and had ordered sandwiches from the cafeteria downstairs for lunch. We had spent the morning training and then we all took quick showers before lunch.
"He's picking you up at 6 right?" Natasha asks. I nod and she glances at her phone. "Probably around 4, so we have a couple of hours to prep for getting ready including going shopping for a new outfit along with buying yourselves some other clothes?" She suggests. I nod in agreement. "Alright, I mean we're dressed well enough do you guys wanna go after lunch?" Natasha asks.
"Yeah that's fine, " Wanda agrees as we go back to our food. "So Evie, are you nervous?" Wanda asks while we continue to eat.
"A little bit, I've never been on a date at all or even really talked to boys as in dating," I state picking some lettuce off the side of my sandwich. We continue eating and talking about the date as we finish eating, before heading to the car. Wanda lets me sit shotgun while Natasha drives and as she's pulling out of the tower garage,I start looking for music.
"Oo what if we listen to the playlist you made about having a crush?" She asks making me blush but I put it on. 'Clumsy' by Fergie comes on and we all start singing along as Natasha drives us the 20 minutes to the mall.
Once we arrive and park, we quickly walk in, trying to keep a low profile. We head to H&M first because it's closest to where we parked. We all have sunglasses on while we are walking and I watch as a couple of men peek at Natasha making me giggle. Once we're in H&M we start looking around for clothes. I find this black skater skirt that I didn't have in my closet and I put it into the bag that works instead of a cart. I find some more items and I meet up with the other two who have some clothes in their bags.
"Did you find anything that you'd wear tonight?" Natasha asks as we head toward the counter. I shake my head.
"No, but I found some staple items that were missing from my wardrobe," I state with a smile before checking out. Once Wanda and Natasha check out their items, we head to Forever 21 which was across from the store we just were in. "What do you even wear to a carnival?" I asked while grabbing a bag.
"Something comfy that you can move in while looking cute?" Wanda states unsure as we head toward our clothing section. I head toward the pants section, to hopefully find a pair of pants. "Why is there even a carnival in November?" Wanda asks holding up a pair of jeans that I shake my head to.
"Well it's one of those indoor/outdoor ones that came to town late," I say as I find a pair of jeans that had a couple of rips in them but could be dressed up. "I'm really excited because Dad only took me to a carnival-like once when I was 7," I say as I put the jeans into my bag.
