⎮Midtown High- April⎮

"Miss Stark, are you paying attention?" Mr. Castle asks, pulling me out of my thoughts. I had been distracted all day, there was a mission in Lagos and it was supposed to be relatively big and I was not allowed to go but Pietro and Wanda were able. Since they're older and since school isn't as important for them as it is for me, well at least according to Natasha. "Miss Stark?" He asks making me nod, remembering where I was.

"Yes sir," I say politely, glancing over at Peter who was looking at me concerned and MJ who was doodling in her notebook next to him. I felt a hand grab mine, and I turn my head slightly to my desk partner and boyfriend Harry as he gives me a reassuring smile.

"Then you can tell me what the polka music in the book symbolizes?" Mr.Castle asks with a raised eyebrow. I glance at the cover of the book, remembering that we were reading 'StreetCar named Desire' this month.

"Well sir, the polka music is a symbolism for Blanche's lover's suicide after he was upset over her homophobic view against his being in bed with another man," I state making his eyes flash in surprise since he was assuming that I didn't know what was going on. "The music plays in her mind whenever she is reminded of her past and she gets thrown into a flashback until the gunshot, the music haunts her." I finish explaining, making him nod.

"That's correct Miss Stark, please focus on the lesson." He says giving me a glance before turning back to the class. I sigh and glance at my own notebook, noticing that I kept writing the word Lagos on paper, making me start to cross it out as Castle continues his lesson. A couple minutes later as the bell rings, he holds his hand up to get our attention. "Before you leave, remember that you have an essay due at the end of the month on this, I'd start it sooner rather than later," He says before dismissing us. I huff as I pack up, making Harry chuckle next to me.

"You alright?" He asks as we walk out of the classroom, hand in hand. I nod, knowing that I can't tell Harry any Avengers things since he isn't a part of our family or team.

"Just some family stuff, it should pass by next week," I say with a small smile as we head toward the cafeteria. It's silent for a couple of minutes until Peter comes up to us with Ned and MJ. "Hey guys," I say to the three.

"Are you okay?" Peter asks concerned as we sit at our normal table. "You were more spacey than usual and you love English." He asks raising his brow, looking exactly like our father. I nod but he scoffs.

"What Peter?" I snap making everyone look at me concerned but Peter just shakes his head, making me realize we'll be having a talk later. It goes silent for a while, my outburst dampening the friendly mood. "Did the twins text any of you?" I ask casually as I open my salad container. All of my friends shake their heads but Peter nods.

"Piet texted me when they landed yesterday, said that we'd probably hear from them after school. " Peter says making me sigh. Peter's eyes meet mine and he gives me a reassuring smile. "It's fine, don't worry. Focus on our test next period instead." He says making my eyes widen in panic.
