"Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Evie! Happy Birthday to you!"

I smile at my family when they're done singing. They probably were attempting to wake me up but I had been awake for a couple of minutes because Harry had left me an adorable voicemail. Most of my family was here, Clint, Sam, and Rhodey were all doing different things but everyone else, including my Asgardian uncles were here.

"You guys are so sweet,"I say as I get out of bed and hug all of them. I notice Natasha holding a box in her hands and I raise my eyebrow curiously, getting a smirk back. My parents kiss my forehead before leading everyone except Natasha out of my room.

"I got you a little something to wear to school today for your birthday." She says holding the box out to me. I glance up at her before opening the box, peering inside to unveil its contents. I feel a breath come out as I pick up the burgundy corduroy skirt that I had been eyeing at the mall along with a matching sweater and socks. "I was thinking you could wear it with the boots your parents got you for Christmas, black chunky heal?" She says making me nod in agreement.

"Thanks, Aunt Nat, this is already shaping up to be a great birthday, I'll meet you in the kitchen after I get ready," I say grinning at her. She nods, leaving the room as I grab my bathrobe and turn on my playlist that was made for this day by MJ.

Looking in the mirror after I had gotten ready feels satisfying, I try to look for any differences that indicate that I'm finally 14

Looking in the mirror after I had gotten ready feels satisfying, I try to look for any differences that indicate that I'm finally 14. The past couple of months since Christmas have been kind, things started to calm down and all the stress I had been feeling was slowly leaving. I take a picture of my outfit in the mirror, shaking myself out of my thoughts as I save it to post later before heading into the kitchen to eat breakfast.

"Do I look okay?" I ask shyly as I walk in. Everyone turns to me and I see Dad's face light up and he has this big smile on his face.

"When did you start growing up?" He asks coming over and running his hands through my ponytail as he pulls me into a hug. He leads me over to the table to eat my favorite breakfast foods, scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, and bagels along with a cup of decaf coffee with cream and sugar. Conversation flows between myself and most of my family while Pietro and Wanda were cramming for a test in their Algebra class.
