Chapter 38

Rihanna's POV

The hair and makeup crew did me up all nice and pretty for the show. I held Eli who was awake and curious as to where he was and why. He sucked on his fingers as he stared at Marshall across the room getting his microphone adjusted.

"Okay right as Jimmy introduces the three of you just walk through this entrance and onto the stage." One of the staff members said to Marshall and I as he point to where we would exit from back stage.

"Okay thank you." I said getting up from the hair and makeup chair. I wore my hair completely down and straight along with a short red plaid dress and some white ankle boots, it was a fun casual look that matched the theme of the song me and Marshall are performing later on. For Marshall on the other hand he's just wearing the basic green camouflage shorts with a grey tshirt.

He joined me beside the stage entrance waiting for our queue to walk out. I watched as Jimmy spoke to the crowd enthusiastically.

"Alright Tonight we have one of hollywoods favorite couples Eminem and Rihanna." Jimmy started making the audience cheer loudly upon hearing our names.

"But they are not alone, for the first time ever they will be revealing their first born son Eli." Jimmy nodded with a smile at the audience as they clapped and shouted in unison once again.

"So without further introduction please welcome to the stage Eminem and Rihanna!" Jimmy walked over and sat at his desk placed beside two chairs meant for Marshall and I to sit on. We walked out onto the stage ready to be interviewed for the first time together. The audience rose to their feet and cheered even louder than before when Marshall and I came into their field of vision. We both took our seats and I held Eli securely in my arms.

"It's so nice having you here, thanks for coming." Jimmy said fixing his suit jacket button.

"Thanks for having us." I said with a smile.

"So Eli, he's how many months old?" Jimmy asked pointing to the small child in my arms.

"About one month." Marshall answered placing his arm across my shoulders.

"Wow so he's really young, could you give the audience a little look the cameras are there." Jimmy said pointing to the set of cameras placed along side the stage. I adjust Eli in my lap and turned him toward the camera so the whole world could see his cute little chubby face. The audience broke out into a large "Awe" as they looked at Eli, which made me smile knowing my sons is in fact a cutie.

"Wow he's adorable, so this whole thing about you two being a couple how did that start?" Jimmy asked redirecting the conversation toward Marshall and I.

"I don't know, it kind of just happened all at once during the Monster Tour." I said trying to pin point how exactly my feelings for Marshall started without getting to personal.

"Wow so you guys have been together for a while now?"

"It will be a year in August." Marshall said surprising me by the fact that he even remembered.

"Amazing, that's certainly something to look forward too. Eminem your fans and I, never thought you'd be in a relationship again because in your songs you normally talk about disregarding women, so did this relationship come as a surprise to you as well?" Jimmy asked coming to the harder and more thought provoking questions.

"Uh, when I rap about you know, beating women and stuff like that, I say the things I'm feeling not things I'd actually do I guess... I have been hurt by so many women so rap has always been an escape for me to express my anger, yes I have actually beat women but I think I have matured past that after rehab. So a relationship didn't really surprise me, it's the fact that I'm in a relationship with Rihanna that's the crazy part." Marshall explained that almost like he had it rehearsed, I normally get so flustered when I get asked hard questions and on top of that my words always get twisted and end up causing drama.
