Rihanna's POV

I sat silent on one of the couches placed through out Marshall's living room. Katy and Melissa sat beside, chanting encouraging words into my ears. Everything sounded muffled like I was completely submerged in water, I could feel a burning sensation in my eyes as tears streamed down my face. I didn't look at Melissa or Katy, instead I just sat there looking straight down at the rug.

My thoughts were flying off the handle as I tried to figure out why Chris was in Detroit in the first place. I haven't talked to him in months, we ended our second relationship on good terms. So why would he do something so stupid! This was going to be all over the news and magazines. The little bit of privacy I got in this world has always managed to be blasted across the globe, thanks to Chris.

I remember he first walked in there in with one of his friends, who was surprisingly not Drake. At first I did even notice him walking toward me at all, I was just dancing casually with my friends when Chris grabbed my upper arm. He was screaming something at me about his new girl friend. Who I did not associate with at all, due to pass unpleasant experience I had with her.

I started to resist, and tug my arm out of his grasp, which ended up just making him squeeze harder. I remembered turning my head frantically, trying to look for Melissa and Katy for help, but they were no where in sight. That's when I started to scream for Marshall, I didn't know what else to do. I was scared... I needed him to come and save me for the hundredth time.

Eventually Royce, Katy, Melissa, and Marshall all seemed to emerge from the crowd at once. That's when things began to go completely down hill, everyone in the club was screaming when the fight between Chris and Marshall broke out. Time from that moment on seemed to be traveling at a million miles a second. Between me screaming and crying for Marshall and Chris to stop frighting, all the club goers running outside, and Katy throwing a large black coat over my shoulders and escorting me out of the bundling. It was complete chaos.

I got inside a vehicle that was waiting outside and drove straight here, Marshall's house. Once we got here I discovered that Katy left me with Chris to go get the security and call a driver, and Melissa ran to get Em.

My mind kept drifting back to Marshall running up and punching Chris straight in the face. I saw Marshall take some dirty blows from Chris in return. I couldn't help but feel like it was my fault Marshall was put in that position in the first place. I knew Marshall would go to extremes when he saw Chris, and if I just would have calmed down and heard him out then I bet the whole thing could have been avoided. However that wasn't the case, because my big mouth screamed for Marshall out of fear.

I jolted back into reality when I heard the sound of the front door opening. I got up and ran out of the living room and into the main entrance area.

Marshall pushed open the tall door with Dre following close behind. My eyes stared in horror at Em's best up face. He had his arm wrapped across his chest, and winced with pain as he walked toward me.

"Hey Ri, you okay? Did he hurt you?!" Marshall asked placing his hands on my shoulders, holding me at arms length so he could inspect me for any fresh wounds. The only one Chris managed the leave was and oddly shaped bruise on my right arm where he grabbed me.

"Yeah I'm okay, Marshall we need to get you to a hospital." I said lifting his shirt to reveal the wound on his lower chest where the skin had shifted its color to black and blue from a hard impact.

"His ribs are broken on the left side, I'm sure of it." Dre interjected from behind me, as I looked over the black, blue, and purple cloudy area covering Marshall's left side.

"No I'm not going to a hospital, I'm fine it's just a couple bruises. Plus its crazy as hell out there, I'm sure the paparazzi are already at the hospital waiting for us to arrive."
