Marshall's POV

I scrabbled through the kitchen trying to put together a good enough breakfast for the kids. Eli's crying in his high chair, and I can hear Whitney complaining from all the way in here. Robyn and I really need to go grocery shopping, but there's never any time.

"Come on daddy! Eli's getting so annoying!" Whitney cried out from the dining room.

"I'm almost done Whitney, give me a just another minute!" I yelled back over Eli's crying. Neither Katy or Ri are up yet and honestly I could really use their help.

I grabbed the spatula and lifted the final pancake out of the frying pan and tossed it on to the pile. God forbid we would have any cereal, or something easy to make! Or Kim could at least feed the kids breakfast before she drops them every Saturday morning, it's really not the hard of a task, but God knows she can't be bothered to do anything.

I grabbed a jar of banana baby food and a small spoon before carrying the plate full of pancakes into the dinning room.

"YAY PANCAKES!" Whitney said excitedly as she grabbed two of the flat golden brown circles.

"You hungry Hailie?" I asked noticing her distant attitude. She was just sitting at the table silently, playing with her hands in her lap.

"Helllloooo Hailie?!" Whitney said waving her hand in front of her sisters face to try and get her attention.

"Huh? What?" Hailie asked finally coming back from whatever deep thought she was having.

"Dad wants to know if you're hungry." Whitney answered lifting a big bite of her breakfast into her mouth.

"No not really, can I be excused?" Hailie said meekly, getting up from the table before I could answer. What's her problem?

I shrugged off her strange behavior figuring it was something girl related that I wouldn't understand. I now turned my attention to the crying baby in front of me. You'd never think we fed him a day in his life the way he's crying.

"Alrighty buddy, here I got you some food." I said scooping a little of the banana flavored baby food and bringing it near his mouth. Last time I fed him whole food and not milk, he hit the jar off the high chair making a mess all over the floor and then cried till Rihanna came and picked him up. Hopefully this time he corporates and just eats the food.

"Okay here ya go, it's banana flavored. Not that nasty green bean flavored crap your mom gives you... Okay? Trust me you'll like it." I said to Eli, even though I know he probably doesn't understand a single word I'm saying. I put the spoon in his mouth which silenced the crying as he tasted the mushy food. Thank god he likes it! I took the spoon out of his mouth only to give him more a second later.

"What's wrong with Hailie?" I asked Whitney not turning my attention away from the baby in front of me.

"I don't know, she's been acting this way since yesterday.." Whitney said with a mouth full of food. I wonder what's wrong with her? Was it something I did? Something Kim did? Did something happen at school? I'd ask her but I have a feeling she would just brush me off and say nothings wrong.

I finished feeding Eli and took him out of his high chair, cradling him in my arms carefully. I should go wake Ri up, she'll sleep all day if we let her. I turned an walked out of the dining room, leaving Whitney to finish her breakfast alone.

I walked up the tall marble stairs and down one of the long hallways until I finally reached my bedroom. I opened the door with my one free hand, making sure to hold Eli securely in the other.

Sure enough Robyn was laying with her face shoved deeply into her pillow and all the blinds closed in the room, making it look like night had never ended.
