Rihanna's POV

Marshall was on his way home to grab the things I needed for the next two days. I'm still a little shaken up by the fact that I passed out, and was raced here to get an immediate surgery. I don't care if my belly now has a long vertical scar leading right up the middle. As long as my baby is safe and healthy, I would have died if it meant he got to live instead.

I guess what they say is true, that you'll never know what it's like to be a mother till you are one. I would have never thought I could care for someone this much. Eli slept well throughout the night, which was surprising because I would have thought for sure he would have started crying because he was hungry or something.

It's still pretty early and Eli isn't awake yet, which is good because I need to talk to Katy. I needed to tell her what happened and that Eli is finally here after eight long months of waiting.

I reached over and grabbed my phone off the wooden tray table. I unlocked my phone and quickly dialed Katy's number.

It rang several times until she finally decided to pick up the phone.

"Hey Ri what's up?"

"Guess what."

"What?"

"I had Eli yesterday..."

"ARE YOU SERIOUS!! STAY THERE IM COMING DOWN TO SEE YOU LIKE RIGHT FUCKING NOW! THAT BABY NEEDS TO MEET HIS AUNT!..... Wait isn't it a month early?"

"Yeah uh he's premature, but healthy."

"Wow Ri what happened? Did your water just break to early or something ?"

"No, my blood pressure was really low or something like that. I passed out back at the house and Marshall called 911, I had to get a C-section to save Eli, but don't freak out because everything is fine now."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN DONT FREAK OUT?! MARSHALL SHOULD HAVE CALLED ME AND MELISSA THE SECOND YOU GOT TO THE HOSPITAL! I CARE ABOUT YOU RI..."

"Katy it's fine, The nurses said Marshall was going through a rough time so I don't think he felt like talking much. I'm sorry he didn't call you."

"It's okay Robyn, now I'll probably be out there in a few hours. I love you you, bye!"

"Okay see you later Katy, bye."

I hung up the phone and tossed it back onto the tray table. I wish I could go home, because hospitals are so boring. I wonder how much longer it his till Marshall gets back, I hope he remembers everything I told him.

Suddenly a small whimper began to come from Eli's mouth. I got up out of my bed and walked over to his to see what was wrong.

"Shhh." I said picking him up before he started to full out cry. I wish I had my mom with me to help, I don't understand how babies work.

I grabbed a bottle full of milk off the counter and shoved it into the microwave. My nurse, Angie, showed Marshall and I how to properly heat up a bottle earlier today. She's a great nurse and has been a huge help with all the questions I've had.

Eli was now crying as loud as possible. I slowly rocked him back and forth as the microwave heated the milk up slowly. God I wish this didn't take so long.

"Shhh it's okay baby, just hold on." I said trying to calm him down some.

Finally the microwave beeped and I opened it up to grab the bottle. Quickly testing it on my hand to see if it was to hot, but to my luck it was just perfect, so I put it into Eli's crying mouth and the room was suddenly silenced.
