Rihanna's POV
The next few days with Marshall seemed to fly by as we grew closer over countless dates around Detroit. Though the city was freezing and full of crime and violence, there were still great things about it.
Tonight would be Marshall's and I's last show for the monster tour, and the feeling is bitter sweet. I'm glad our month worth of hard work is finally over and we can relax, but I'm bummed out because I have to fly back to California tomorrow and leave Marshall. I know we should probably talk about this but coming to a conclusion would mean one of us would have to sacrifice something. Either I move in with Marshall, or he moves in with me. I would be more than happy to have his kids come and live in my home. Iv always wanted a big family, however I don't think Marshall and I are quite on that level in our relationship yet, and the tabloids will defiantly know about him coming to stay with me, but I couldn't stand the thought of not being able to see him everyday.
I slid on a pair of black jeans and a Madrid soccer Jersey so I wasn't lounging around in my pajamas all day. Marshall was down stairs already dressed and ready for the show later. I envied the fact that he could wear normal everyday clothes on stage and everyone will think it's cool and normal. Me on the other hand I have a series of costume changes ranging from short dresses, long dresses, shorts, and pants.
I stepped away from the mirror, fully dressed and groomed. Content with my appearance I walked down stairs quickly to find where Marshall was hiding this time. Finding him was like a scavenger hunt, he could be anywhere! I checked the living room, the dining room, and the kitchen with out any luck. I decided to go a little deeper into the hallways and search the freshly discovered rooms. One seemed to be a storage room with boxes full of clothes and old house decorations.
Me being curios I walked inside and read the labels of the boxes to see if any sparked my interest.
"Christmas stuff."
"Hailie's Baby Clothes."
I was about to walk out of the room until my eye grazed across a box that read "Family Photo Albums."
Was Marshall even the type of guy to have these?
I pulled out the first one I could grab and began to flip through the dusty plastic pages with a collection of family photos between each one.
There were plenty of Marshall and his Uncle Ronnie. I smiled at his young happy face as he sat on the couch with his arm laying across Ronnie's shoulder . I turned the page to reveal several pictures of Marshall with Hailie and Kim. I stared at Kim's darkly lined lips and Marshall's baggy clothes. He held Hailie in his arms; smiling. You could say they looked like a normal happy family. However, pictures are deceiving. Behind those smiles are nights full of screaming and fighting, and even though I have mixed feelings towards Kim I can't help but feel sad that things didn't work out.
Realizing I was getting side tracked I threw the album back into the box and exited the room to continue my adventure. Next I moved across the hall to find his room full of all his awards. Countless records hung from the dark red walls along with glass cabinets full of various types of awards. I looked at his Oscar he had won for his song "Lose Yourself." In the movie 8 Mile. I then moved my eyes towards all his Grammy's, God he was so talented. I wish I had half as many awards him.
I needed to stop getting side tracked so easily. At this point I'll never find Marshall. I contemplated just calling him on the phone, but knowing him he'll probably laugh at me. So instead I went back to the kitchen where a pair of sliding glass doors sat on the wall. I walked over and slid the door open with ease, letting a cold gust of wind hit me. Winter sucks.
