Flashback

In a house in a rural area an adolescent Benson is throwing punches at a just as young Y/N who's easily dodging and catching them "Not bad Benson, but you can't just rely on your arms or put all your power behind your punches, you use more stamina that way" says Young Y/N while Young Benson pants "You make it sound so easy, but at the same time it sounds so difficult"

Young Y/N chuckles "How about I just show you and you just copy me?" They say and Benson is still heavily breathing "Sure. But can we (breaths) take a quick break?" Y/N chuckles again "OK bro sure take 5" Young Benson falls to the ground "On second thought take 20" Y/N says with a sweat drop but then something occurs to them it's almost time for the sun to set, their parents are usually back by now but they haven't returned, Y/N is starting to get concerned, something Benson notices

Benson:Yo Y/N, you good?

Y/N looks back to him "Yeah, I'm just wondering why my parents haven't come back yet" Benson wonders this as well "It is weird. Maybe we should go look for them" "We?" "Yeah. You didn't think I was just gonna say you huh?" Y/N looks at him confused "You'd really come with me to find them?" Benson nods "You sure about that?" Benson nods again "I'm not letting you go out on your own" Y/N puts a hand on his shoulder "I appreciate that Benson, but you have your own family to worry about, they wouldn't want you to do this, I don't either, it's dangerous" Benson hugs them "You're family too y'know, besides homies help homies" Y/N hugs back

Some time later they walk the path that Y/N's parents walked when they left wearing old Halloween costumes they found, Benson in a Robin (DCAMU Damian Wayne) costume and Y/N in a Red X costume

They do just that in a nearby building all they hear is stomping and roaring, Y/N looks out to see a giant 6-armed red eyed monkey going berserk "That's one big spider monkey" Benson looks out to see the monkey "What do we do?" He asks as Y/N tries to think of a plan but then they hear war cries and see the monkey's fur get burned by explosions, they look to the cause to see

Y/N:Mom! Dad!

Y/N's dad hears the call and looks in the children's direction in shock he grabs his wife and runs in their direction seeking refuge in the building out of the monkey's sight who seemingly walks away after not finding them

Some time later

M/N:Y/N, Benson what are you two doing out here?

Y/N:You didn't come back yet so I got worried

D/N:That doesn't explain why Benson is with you when he has his own family to worry about

Benson:I came cause I refused to let Y/N go anywhere alone. They were going to risk their life to help you guys, I wanted to make sure they had back up
