Cactustown PT 2

While Benson and Dave were checking on Wolf, Kipo and Y/N had a convo outside

Kipo:Thanks for that by the way
Y/N looked at her with a surprised expression before doing a Shonen Anime protagonist type of smirk "No problem, but now you know why I argue with her so much" Kipo was confused by this "I never asked you why" Y/N replies "But for the sake of the group you wanted to know, I could see it in those innocent pink eyes of yours" a statement followed by a wink which makes our main... main character blush

Timeskip

Our heroes walk to their destination and Dave and Benson go back to their previous conversation

Benson:Dave I thought about it. Rocking out with the Umlaut snakes was a trip, and a story I want to tell over and over
He's saying as Dave uses Cactus pricks to replace his antennae which Benson ripped off and used to play the drums
Benson:But I can Not do that if I get eaten by a Mega Mute, so we should just tell Kipo we're gonna leave, and then leave
Dave (in immense pain):Your right. We just gotta find the right time
Benson:There's never a right time, you just gotta pull the band-aid off

A reference he uses while attempting (you know the keyword) to talk to Wolf and Kipo, who scowl and glare at him after he uses said reference scaring him into keeping the band-aid on

Suddenly growling indicating they reached their destination which is the stopping point for the Umlaut Snakes who were about to leave until Kipo asks that the cats be released to which they agreed because if not for the cats that rock session wouldn't have happened

Kipo with a determined face... faces the group "OK. This is it, I know this is dangerous but I have to do this, none of you have to come with me" Mandu goes to her side followed by Wolf, Y/N elbows Benson's side "Band-aid ripped off" they say before following Kipo who hugged Benson and Dave and with that they left

Benson and Dave were shocked to say the least

What's left of the group enters the cactus cave (seriously it's a cave... made of cacti) and finds the beast sleeping
Kipo seems emotional "Go ahead and say it, if this thing had my people... it ate them, it's what your thinking.. I know it" Wolf says "You don't know what we're thinking" To which Y/N says "I'm thinking that this beast looks strangely familiar and my blood is boiling because of it" Wolf is confused but says "Well I'm thinking they could be trapped in that old hotel" Kipo isn't convinced "Do you really believe that?" Wolf just looks at her in sympathy, Y/N as well being both on edge and concerned for Kipo

Mandu doesn't share the sentiment due to finding a golden four leaf clover buried in the ground which excites Kipo who shouts "Dad are you in there?!" Wolf grabs her and covers her mouth with her mouth and catches the pick that was thrown in the air with her feet (that scene was cold) and with that they all breath a sigh of relief...

THAT IS UNTIL THE TIMBERCATS SHOW UP

The roars of the TimberCats raise the beast from its slumber
Kipo and Wolf:(Gasp)
Y/N:"Audible gasp"

And now they are face to face with a 6 armed, red eyed Mega Monkey... who proceeds to yeet TimberCats left and right almost literally

The sane people hide behind some rubble, including Cotton and her friend who "came back for the show"

Wolf peeks over the rubble "Now's our chance, we can-" she spots Y/N standing around "Y/N what are you doing?! Get behind cover" Y/N still stands there seemingly not listening with hands made into fists blood dripping from them, Kipo spots this "Y/N what's wrong with you?! Get behind this rubble so we can plan this out!" Y/N is still standing and doesn't seem happy "That's the mute" they start walking towards the chaos, frightening Kipo more "Y/N no, what are you doing?!" Y/N keeps walking "That's The MUTE!"
