Life is a book, with various characters and various lessons held within. With every character that enters your life, they own a whole chapter dedicated to them and only them. Whether you want them to have a page or multiple in your book or not. As well as, unlike real life, where you decide what happens with each and every character, here...fate does. And all you can do is sit back and write down on those pages.

In this book you'll have pages that are bookmarked, some will be filled with rainbows and unicorns, Cora and Savannah. Some will be filled with taunting words and actions, Adam. You definitely would have a page for your yellow, your greatest idol, the person you looked up to, My mother. And finally, you have your blue.

Your greatest heartbreak, the ones that aren't present anymore, the ones that were once your reason to laugh and smile, however now they're a painful memory, a memory that used to make your heart beat furiously with devotion and warmth but now it beats furiously with agony and longing. They are the ones that sometimes didn't leave because they fell out of love.

Perhaps, fate has a countdown for every relationship with a one. Some are forever, some are cut short.

Life later on knots these two once shredded now fixed strings together, it reminds you that with every blue there was once a yellow.

Moving my fingers across the mass of Polaroids I have in front of me, I smile faintly at the old memory.

"This is our blue." I whisper, swallowing the lump in my throat, my eyes blurry as my hand moves to rub my swollen belly.
