E.

"Hey, Lily." I greet my voice visibly down.

"EVELYN!" I remove the phone slightly from my ear at her loud voice.

"Hi." I chuckle watching as Xander ran in and out of the room. How many times would I have to repeat the no running rule?!

"How's everything? Did Xander like the school?"

"He did, thank god. It's literally perfect and I'm convinced it'll be such great help. However..." I take in a deep breath already ready to tell her what happened, after my mothers passing Lily and I have grown ridiculously closer, making whatever was before seem like nothing.

"What happened?" She asks silently.

"I saw him," I whisper, my heart picking up ins furious pace once more as I started to feel mildly sick.

"Who?" She asks confused.

"Him." I repeat.

"Who the fuck is hi- oh." We both go silent, my throat constantly bobbing at the strong emotion I felt flowing over me.

Seeing him dumped a mass of emotions I thought I lost, more like ones I denied still feeling. Yearning has been swimming in my veins ever since my eyes fell on him.

A lot of self-control being needed to stop myself from running into his arms, kissing his lips..Weree they as soft like I remember? Caressing his cheeks...Was his hair as silky? Did he still get tickled when someone snuggled themselves below his ear? Was someone running their hands through his hair making him purr like an oversized cat?

Except nothing was the same...We aren't who we were three years ago, we aren't the insecure girl and boy, we are stronger versions of ourselves, or at least I thought I was. With one look into the cold orbs I missed I felt all the emotions run back to where they were.

And God did I miss him.

"Evelyn?!" I hear from the other side cutting my thoughts off.

"Sorry, what were you saying?" I clear my throat blinking back my tears.

"What happened when you saw him? What did you say? Was he angry? Did you take his number? Did you hug him? TELL ME." She sighs frustrated.

"Nothing happened."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean nothing, it was like my tongue got tangled up, I couldn't rush a single word out except when I thanked him for complementing Xander."

"Wait he saw Xander? I could sense from her voice that she recalled the main reason to why I never told him.

"Yeah, they were sat together."

"Will you ever tell him?"

"I don't know."

"He deserves to know." Lily reminds me.

"I know...but what if, what if he takes him away? What if he takes me to court and gets full custody?" I feel tears brimming my eyes once again.

"He won't." She sighs deeply and even though I was the older she took the role.

"But what if? I can't live without Xander Lily! I can't...I'll die, how would I survive without him?" I notice tears already rushing down my cheeks.

"He wouldn't-"

"Why wouldn't he? I left him when he most needed me! I betrayed his trust, the least he can do is break me back. I can't lose Xander Lily." I whisper the last part sobbbing through the phone.
