Current Day;
-----Every ocean in this cruel world is filled with my tears. I don't want to lose anything again, the way I did with you----
I held my head in my hands, and felt the tears roll down my cheeks. The faint glow of the phone screen illuminated my face, and I heard the messages rolling in. But they didn't stop. Nothing could help me now, after all, I had asked for this. Not all of it, but most of it.
I looked over at the pregnancy test sitting on the bathroom countertop, and felt more tears bubbling up. I reached over and turned my phone off, sinking to the ground.
I could feel the cool tile pressing lines into my hands, and balled them into fists. Digging my nails into my skin so hard it felt like drawing blood. Taking a breath, I relaxed them, and instead cradled my head in my hands again.
What was I going to do?
