A week had passed, since my dearest Misty had returned to my side.
Those days had been the brightest of my life. I listened to Stevie's music again, I went back to witchcraft, and Misty was teaching me some spells that she had learned at the Academy.
Despite the fact that Wilhemina and I worked so many hours a day, Misty entertained herself with the plants, the orchard and the nature that surrounded that house we lived in, and I sacrificed a few extra hours of sleep, to have a space to be with Misty and go back to doing what we did in the old days.
Since Misty was staying inside the house, Wilhemina took the liberty of hiring some painters, confident that my best friend would take care of everything, the house was a disaster and it took them the whole week to finish.
Sunday was the day of decoration, we were decorating the house with those paintings that we bought the week before. Misty was a great help, since thanks to her telekinesis, we did not have the need to use a ladder to hang them.
"There it looks perfect, thanks, bestie." I told Misty once she placed the third painting, that one was enormous and fit perfectly in the living room over the sofas.
And as I predicted, our house looked like a museum, the paintings stood out so incredibly between the black and deep purple that Wilhemina had chosen as the colors for the whole house. I loved our home, the furniture, the plants that were everywhere, the colors, the paintings, the decorations, the ornaments... it was a dream come true.
"Why did you choose to put the paintings at last? You know this skill is a little hard for me." She questioned. "It could fall on top of plants or break our altar."
"Don't be ridiculous, our altar is in your room." I laughed.
"Exactly, do you think I was going to help you hang these incredible paintings without keeping at least one for my room?"
I rolled my eyes in amusement.
"Fine, just because you've helped us a lot and we love you." I heard Wilhemina's voice behind me, as she wrapped her free arm around my waist.
Misty smiled tenderly.
"I love you guys too!" She answered.
My cellphone vibrated in my pocket, displaying Cordelia's name on the screen when I pulled it out. Why couldn't she text like a normal person?
"It's Delia." I notified Misty. "Uhm, you guys stay here, I'll go see what the fuck Miss Supreme needs."
I made my way to the stairs and sat on the second step, answering the phone.
"Hi, Del...—"
"Is Misty with you?" She interrupted me, and her tone indicated that she had something urgent to say to us.
"No, your wifey's in the living room, wait." I joked, and heard an annoyed sigh coming from her. Damn, someone was in a very bad mood. "Misty, come here!" I yelled.
I heard Misty's footsteps approach, then, she sat next to me.
"Hello, Miss Cordelia." She greeted her shyly and her eyes lit up. Oh how lovely!
