Author's Note
Hello my lovelies! Have you been well? Hope you have! Anyways chapter 6!Tessia's POV
"You called Director? It's Arthur Leywin." He said through the door. "Ah yes, come in." She said. The door creaked open and I saw my childhood friend walk through, "Hey Tess!" He waved."You don't seem surprised to see me." I teased, pouring the tea from the tea pot into the cups, "Arthur would you like a cup of tea?" Grandma asked. "Yes please." He answered, "Can the princess even make tea?" He whispered to grandma earning a chuckle from her. "I heard that." I said, "Princess..." I then breathed under my breath. Hmph! I walked to grab another tea cup from the cardboard.
"Ah yes Arthur. Please take a seat." Grandma said, and he did. "Arthur, how would you feel to become the teacher of Practical Mana Manipulation?" She asked calmly, causing me to almost drop the tea cup I just grabbed. "Huh?" I whipped my head around.
"You're not serious, right?" He questioned, asking the same question as I wanted to ask. "Oh, I'm quite serious, Arthur," she said, "Is that even allowed? I'm a student not even finished with his first day of school. Can I be a student and a professor at the same time? What about my other classes?" He began shooting out arguments.
"Sorry to interrupt, but sugar?" I asked timidly, turning back on making the tea. "1 as always Tessia." Grandma answered. "You Arthur?" She asked, "2 please." He answered. I opened the jar of sugar and scooped out a tea spoon of sugar, and poured it into the tea. 1 tea spoon. 2 tea spoons. And 3 spoons for me! I grabbed 2 coaster and put them on the short table in between them, and turned get the tea cups putting them on their matching saucers, putting the clean tea spoons to the side. I then slowly settled them down. I turned around again and grabbed the milk.
"Please, no need to get so worked up. It's quite simple, actually. Is it allowed? Yes, as long as I say it is. Although this specific situation has never occurred, there are cases of highly qualified upperclassmen that teach basic courses. As for your other classes, your schedule wouldn't really change. You would just be teaching that one class, for that period." She negotiated. I walked towards the table with milk in hand.
"Milk?" I asked grandma, "Yes please." She answered I poured until it became a mid tone milky brown. "Arthur?" I asked "Yes please." He answered snapping him out of his thoughts. "Say when." I said as I poured the milk, he raised his hand "Thank you." He said as he picked up his spoon and began stirring his tea.
"I don't understand why you're doing this, Director." Arthur said still confused as to why she's doing this. I took my milky brown tea into my hands and took a sip, sweet! Mmm...
"Well, a spot just opened up and you were the one that defeated the previous professor. Doesn't that give you enough qualifications to enter? Besides, I'm really not doing this for some ulterior motive, Arthur. You don't have to be too suspicious. This is up to you. I won't push you into this, but I believe that it would be a good opportunity to build a sort of standing for yourself without having to go around conquering professors. If you wish to further enjoy teaching after this semester, I can give you more classes to teach! I'm sure there are a very limited number of classes that would be of use to you anyway" she chuckled.
"And there is a favour I'd like to ask." She stated with a smirk. Am I the only one that's feeling cold? I took a big sip of my tea, leaning back onto the counter.
"And what would that be?" Art questioned forming a bridge with his hands on the table resting his chin on it. "You know the Student Council Vice President?" She asked with a playful smirk. "Clive? I wish I didn't but yes." He answered, "how would you feel giving him a beating?" She asked straight forwardly. "Grandma!!" I exclaimed almost choking on my tea, "You can't just-" I tried to lecture her but was cut off. "Sure." Arthur answered in a heartbeat with an evil smirk on his face, "...but aren't you supposed to protect the school and it's students?" He asked more concerned about her losing her job then the possibility of Clive losing his life.
