Tessia's POV
"I wanna go home..." I breathed. "I need some air."
...
..
.And that's how I ended up on this bench next to Harry, I told him everything. From how I first caught feelings for Art to the argument we just had.
Talking, well more so venting to him felt nice, no judgement, no comment, just listening. He sat there and silently listened to me as I talked and talked, it wasn't a uncomfortable silence, that's why I liked him so much, he just sat down next to me and lent an ear, sometimes, like now, he would lend a shoulder to lean and cry on.
"He's an ass you know?" He mused out of no where.
It angered me, how dare he? He doesn't even know him, all the things he's done for me and for his family, my family.
My anger came in the voice of a polite, "Excuse me? I beg your pardon." I lifted my head up from his shoulder and looked at him, he kept looking straight ahead.
"Please hear me out, for someone who," he paused, contemplating what to say or rather if he should say it or not, "someone who really treasures you shouldn't treat you like this. It's probably not my place but-"
"It really isn't your place." I stood up and snapped at him, "you don't know him. You don't know him like I do!"
"But Tessia! Can't you see! You're hurting because of him! Because of what he said!"
"N-No he has his reasons!" My statement came out more unsure than wanted, "He's always has he's reasons!"
"Reasons." Harry placed a hand over his mouth and gave a mirthless laugh. "Fuck his reasons!" He stood up and waved his arm in the air, "No reason can explain the way he treated your feelings."
He left out a defeated sigh, "Tess," he came closer to me but I backed away, "there could be an infinite amount and he still wouldn't be in the right."
"No! He's always has a reason for what he does! Arthur's always right, from a young age, he's kind! Fair!"
"He discounted not only your feelings but you too."
"No! You're wrong!" I covered my ears, refusing to continue to listen to his bullshit. Harry just doesn't know him like I do.
"He's not always Mr Perfect. He's anything but-"
"Harry. Stop with this nonsense." I commanded him.
"It's not nonsense!-" He stepped closer.
"Harry. Stop it, before you cross the line." He raised both his hands, surrendering.
"Just, I just really care about you, I don't want to see you cry. So please-"
"Please what?! What do you want me to do?!"
He paused, and then stayed silent, after a few moments he stepped forward and wiped a tear off my cheek, I didn't even realise that there were tears falling down my face.
"Just don't cry." He breathed softly, his hand still resting on my cheek and walked away.
And with that we parted ways.
