Tessia's POV
"G-Grandpa!" I started to cry into his chest again, I already cried once. Why am I crying again? Does this make me weak? I tried to stop the tears but it kept flowing.

"It's ok it's ok little one. It's over now, Grandma Cynthia's going to arrive soon. Then Arthur's parents, do you want to go wash up before seeing them again?" He asked softly, he knew why I was crying but instead of asking how I am, he told me the need to knows.

"Thank you grandpa..." I said into his chest, "Of course child this is in my job description!" He said brightly, "Do you want to wash up while I look after the brat?"

"No, I want to stay here with him. But I should at least look presentable to them." I pondered, I want to be clean so I'll be presentable to Art's parents, but I also want to stay here with him since I promised Kate.

"Little one, how about I bring a basin of soapy water so you can wipe the blood off and a change of clothes?" He suggested looking into my eyes sincerely.

"If you wouldn't mind." I said, "Alrighty then! I'll go and get some food as well, I'm quite hungry." He said while rubbing his belly, I chuckled at his comment. He gave me tight hug before he went.

As he turned his back, he was trying not to show it but he's worried. His shoulders weighed down on him, the way he walked, how he was making jokes.

'Art, please wake up soon...' I thought looking back at him, I imagined how broken grandpa would be if Art passed.

'It was like he became an entirely new person since you came into his life. He used to play and look after me every chance he got acting all silly making me laugh, but I could tell that he was never truly happy, and after you came he became more lively. I don't think he even notice the change. You've changed our lives for the better. Thank you so much.' I smiled, I couldn't say the words aloud but I meant it.

Virion's POV
After convincing Tess to go get changed in a separate room, I sat by Arthur's side, I could see some blood on top of his blanket.

Morbid curiosity took over and I slightly lifted his blanket, only one question came to mind: How in the world is this boy still alive?

Half of his bed was covered in blood, the edge was lined with dark dried brown blood but in centre was still bright red. I dragged my fingers along the bed and sure enough it was wet.

This boy...his parents don't deserve to see him like this...all blooded. But I can't move him, it'll risk him bleeding again. Then an idea came to my head, this isn't a solution but at least it'll give his parents a bit more ease.

It won't hurt if I leave him for two seconds, right?

I initiated my second phase and ran into a room next to Arthur's with no one in it and grabbed the blanket from the spare bed.

Now we're back and he's fine. Alright then, let's get this blanket off him. I peeled off the blanket that was practically stuck to him.

Oh my boy...I wish you were out of the woods but...sigh...let's change your gown too. I carefully untied his gown, lifting his arms up but just enough to remove the blood soaked cloth. I could only sigh at the sight in front of me.

After I changed his gown, I carefully placed the new blanket on top of him then making sure that from afar, you wouldn't be able to see any blood that was on his bed. Then I carefully folded the gown and blanket, making sure none of the blood would get on me.

"Sigh," I sat back down onto the chair, "Brat... remember when we made a promise that you're going to be my grandson-in-law and you and Tess are gonna give me 10 great-grandchildren to play with." I said.
