Tessia's POV
Screaming. Shouting. Sobbing. My chest pained as I heard her cry.
Crackle. Break. Ache.
It was heart breaking, watching Ellie call out for her brother, "Damn it! Brother!" She shouted through her choked sobs.
She understood that he was out of danger, but it didn't stop her from grieving what she could've lost.
"Ellie..." I called softly pulling her into a hug, "No! No! You caused this!" She continued to shout as she thumbed my chest, "I know."
She continued, "He wouldn't be here if i-it weren't for!...you..." she slowed before collapsing onto me, gripping onto my shirt.
"I'm sorry...I'm sorry! I'm so sorry!" She cried into my chest, "Shhh it's okay." I stroked her head calmly.
"No, it's not!" She shouted with tears in her eyes, "...it's not..." she sniffled into my chest.
I held onto her tighter as I looked at Arthur. Wake up. When are you going to wake up?! It's already been three days!
She said you'll be up by now. So why? Why are you still laying motionlessly on that bed!?
I felt a fury of emotions: anger, sadness, frustration. I just didn't know what to do. As my emotions began to take over, she hugged me even tighter.
We stayed like this for seconds, minutes, as she began to calm her sniffles, sounds of footsteps came from the hallway.
"Ellie. Come here." Arthur's mum called her, Ellie left my arms into her mum's, "I remember specifically telling you to wait outside for me while I speak to the doctor." She held a firm yet comforting tone.
Although Art's mum looks soft and sweet, but also she has a hard firmer side to her like every mother.
I smiled as she sweetly yet firmly gave Ellie an earful, telling her that she thought that she had gotten lost in the gigantic academy.
"Thank you Tessia for looking after her." After she was done, she looked to my direction still on her knees.
"It's not a problem, Mrs Leywin." I smiled, "Has she caused any trouble?" She asked while wiping her tears.
"No, not at all! Ellie hasn't caused any trouble!" I put my hands up defending her, I held my tongue, 'she doesn't cause trouble like Arthur'.
"That's good." She said as she hugged Ellie tightly, "Don't walk off like that again." She breathed.
...the awkward silence...I looked around thinking of things we could talk about, my eyes landed onto an empty side of the bed that Sylvie always laid on.
How is she...? I thought.
"Oh Mrs Leywin, how's Sylvie doing?" I asked, she froze for a second before replying, "Well...she isn't the best."
"What do you mean?" I asked, my eyebrows furrowed at her comment, "She-" she paused before looking at Ellie and said, "Can you wait outside for a moment?"
"But mum! I want to stay here with brother! And what's wrong with Sylvie?!" She shouted and shouted, "Eleanor. Stand outside, I need to talk to Arthur's friend."
"Okay..." her shoulders dropped as she walked away, as the doors closed behind her Art's mum stood up and turned to me.
"Somethings really wrong with Sylvie." She breathed, "What do you mean by 'really wrong'?" My voice becoming more serious.
"I don't know. I never really- this sounds awful, but I never really cared...well looked after her. It was mainly Art, who looked after her, you know how they are-" She explained before I cut her off.
