Sylvie's POV
Maybe it was how calm and relaxed he was when greeting Mama.Perhaps the way he threatened him, but definitely how he pressed after he accepted defeat.
Dangerous. Very, dangerous.
As he smiled and sat down. His presence carried the unknown, his smile hid his blank eyes.
I clung onto Mama, he feels weird...it wasn't like that yucky greasy auction wizard feeling of want and power, instead it was like he was...assessing me?
"Hey! Harry, where have you been? You weren't in class today?" Mama bombarded.
Mama's worried about someone that's not Papa? That's weird and why does Mama care about him anyways?! Mama has Papa!
"Oh no...did something happen...to your mother again?" She asked again but this time with uncertainty.
"Yes and no. I went to visit my mum and she was moving around a few things, and asked me to stay and help her out."
...That's...it? How boring.
"Harry? How many times have I told you not to disappear off somewhere without notice?" Mama sighed.
"You know, I'm the reason why Mr Baldwin hasn't kicked you out of his class yet, right?" Mama smiled, hehe your butt's about to get kicked.
Papa's got nothing to worry about, but oh no haha Papa might get jealous~ Kekeke I giggled evilly.
You could see the gears in his brain working to figure out who Mama was on about, "Oh yeah! That uptight old fart with that greasey-looking toupee!" He thumbed his fist on his palm.
"Oh well!" He shrugged, "I didn't want to take his class in the first place." He grumbled.
Why did that remind me of Papa?
"Wait, What's that mark on your arm?" Mama chimed, pointing at a mark under his sleeve.
"Oh this?" he pulled his sleeve up nonchalantly, revealing a BIG bruise, I didn't really like him but it looked like it hurt, a lot.
"Oh my! How did you do that?!" Mama exclaimed, "Haha, I was moving a bookshelf and a book fell on my arm."He shrugged.
I raised an eyebrow at his answer, he looks strong, there's no way a 'book' could've done THAT.
"If you say so." Mama surprisingly accepts his answer, they continued to talk and talk as I cuddled to Mama and ate my food.
I imagined Papa and him fight, would Papa win? Yeah. Wait, I paused my thoughts, I began to gage his mana core as he continued talking.
I could feel that he knew what I was doing, but he either didn't care or thought that it didn't matter as he concealed it well, and yes he did.
I couldn't find out what stage his core was, but I did find that he's a dual elemental: Fire and Water.
Rare.
Is that why Mama likes him? 'cause he's odd, like Papa? I tilted my head, hmm...oh well all this thinking is making my brain hurt. I guess I'll eat more food!
...
..
.
"Cya tomorrow Princess!" He shouted back as Mama walked away with me in her arms, "Bye!""Let's go find Art!" Mama cuddled me tightly, her hairs tickling the tip of my nose.
"Kyu!" 'Yay!' Let's go find Papa!
We reached his door, the air was weirdly thick, Mama opened the door and there Papa was, laying on the bed.
Shouldn't he have gotten better by now?
