Birthday special!: What Ifs

Yo! This is not canon to the story, I just had an idea. Also, it was intended to be posted on my birthday the other day but  I thought I'd make a Vol3 what if where Jade never went missing and took on a maternal role for the girls. Team JADE had a piratesque hunting style and they mostly took care of aquatic Grimm on a boat and Jade made sure to get to vale to see her niece's first vital festival.

~Third Person POV~

Approaching the coast of Vale was a ship called the Black Lapis. On the ship were team JADE and their families. Evergreen perched on top of one of the masts, scouting the seas with a pair of binoculars. Azul was at the helm while his wife Sapphire was tidying up the cabins seeing as she wasn't allowed to do much. Daisy and  Grover swabbed the deck as Jade stood at the bow, her foot propped up on the railing. 

"Smooth sailings ahead, Cap!" Evergreen announced from his station.

"Good! Azul set course for land," Jade commanded.

"Aye, Captain," Azul nodded. "All hands brace for impact!"

As he said that Evergreen flew down to the deck, Sapphire held onto the top bunk of one of the cabins, and Daisy, Grover, and Jade held on to the side of the boat as Azul turned the boat to shore.

"Next port, Vale," Azul announced as the city came into view.

"Why are we heading into Vale?" Grover asked.

"My nieces. It's their first Vytal Festival, I promised I'd be there," Jade explained as Azul pulled into the docks.

"Ohhh makes sense."

" Grover, help me with the cables," Daisy ordered as she prepped the ship for docking.

"Aye, Mom," Grover nodded and helped her.

As the ship made a complete stop, Daisy and Grover tied the ship to the dock. Everyone unloaded and prepared to leave for town, waiting for their instructions as this also counts as a restock stop.

"Alright, crew, here's the plan. Sapphire and Azul go to the grocery store and restock our rations," Jade pointed to the couple.

"On it/Aye, Captain," they said at the same time.

"Evergreen is to find a hotel for us to stay for the festival," Jade pointed to the dragon faunus.

"I'll do my best," he nodded.

"Daisy, you'll go to the hardware store and get new supplies and Grover will accompany me to Beacon as I go visit the girls," She ordered, earning nods. "We meet at the stadium in time for the next match, is that clear?"

"Aye Captain," the crew saluted. 

"Alright, dismissed!" Jade announced as everyone but Grover left. "Ready?"

"Ready, Captain," he saluted.

"You don't have to call me that when it's just the two of us, Grover. I've known you since you were little. 'Jade' will do."

"Ok... Jade."

The two walked to the school, but young Grover couldn't understand why his captain would want to have him accompany her to Beacon.

"Uh, Ca- Jade?" Grover asked.

"Yes?" she hummed.

"Why'd you have me accompany you? I'm still in training, I can't protect you like my father could if something should happen."
